Within the period, the student are expected to:
a. explain the meaning of resistor;
b. differentiate the two types resistor and
c. give the importance or purpose of the resistor in electronic devices.

Topic: Types of Resistor
Materials: Power Point Presentation, TV monitor, Video Presentation,
chalk and blackboard.

Education in Consumer Electronics Services, Learning Module 2 pg. 26-

Procedure:
A. Preliminary Activity:
Greetings and Introduction
Prayers
Checking of attendance (class monitor will check the
attendance)
Review and recap
Discussion of classroom rules and regulation
B. Lesson Proper:
1. Motivation
The student need to decode the numbers into letters based on the
alphabet. (Individual)

2. Presentation of Lesson:
Explain the meaning and purpose of the resistor.
Introduce and explains the two types of resistor.
Give the symbol of ohms, resistance voltage, also fixed and
variable resistor.
Discuss the different types of resistor.
For further explanations, the teacher will present an
educational video with regards to the types of resistors.
