JOB DESCRIPTION

Position: Store Operations Manager


Position Summary
Responsible for managing the P&L & driving sales for the store through efficient store
operations, implementing the Store’s retail marketing and sales plans, customer service
delivery, motivation and retention of store personnel & adherence to company norms.

Principal Accountabilities

 Plan, forecast, and report on sales, costs and business performance, according to
company requirements.
 Arrive at strategic and tactical solutions to the clients stated issues.
 Responsible for establishing and managing client relationship
 Business development with existing clients and new prospects.
 Manage costs and overheads, and all factors affecting the profitable performance of
the shop.
 Seek and continuously develop knowledge and information about competitor activity,
pricing and tactics, and communicate this to relevant departments in the Company.
 Manage cash and payment systems in accordance with company procedures and
policies.
 Manage and motivate staff, recruit staff, train and develop staff, according to
company policies and employment laws, and ensure relevant HR procedures are
followed (appraisals, discipline, grievance, etc).
 Plan and implement advertising and promotional strategy and activities in
coordination with Central marketing Office.

 Plan store merchandise and displays taking into account special and seasonal
promotions as well as store safety and security measures; inspects merchandise to
ensure it is correctly displayed.

 Maintains all safety and security policies of the Company, including locking and
securing of Book stock at closing time, cash volume in the cash registers and cash
deposits in store safe.
