Procedure: using the slideshow


• Before you switch on the projector or IWB, use the
pen tool to circle the word shapes in Slide 1. Play
Slide 1 and have the children name the shapes they
can see.
• Play Slides 2–5. Ask the children to read, listen,
and raise their hands whenever they see/hear a
reference to shapes on the slides.
• Play the slideshow again, pausing after each slide.
Have the children answer the question in each
caption. Then make a false statement about the
slide, e.g. for Slide 3 or 4: This is a bedroom or The
chairs are squares. Have the children correct the
statements, e.g. No, this is a living room or The
chairs are circles.
