Lesson 2 Writing Techniques!

educators both from public and private institutions to assist you, the teacher
or facilitator in helping the learners meet the standards set by the K to 12
Curriculum while overcoming their personal, social, and economic
constraints in schooling.

This learning resource hopes to engage the learners into guided and
independent learning activities at their own pace and time. Furthermore, this
also aims to help learners acquire the needed 21st century skills while taking
into consideration their needs and circumstances.

The hand is one of the most symbolized part of the human body. It is often
used to depict skill, action and purpose. Through our hands we may learn,
create and accomplish. Hence, the hand in this learning resource signifies
that you as a learner is capable and empowered to successfully achieve the
relevant competencies and skills at your own pace and time. Your academic
success lies in your own hands!

Overview
Writing is both an art and science. As an art it uses the writer’s creative way
of presentation through the use of figurative language ang personal style. As
a science, it requires logical arrangement of thoughts. The combination of
both is the what we call as writing technique

Lesson 2 is about writing techniques used in informative, persuasive, and


argumentative text. The objectives of this lesson are:

1. Recall key ideas about different types of writing,


2. Construct sentences for specific type of writing,
3. Create infographic applying knowledge on techniques in writing,
4. Post a message on FB exercising writing techniques fundamentals, and
5. Compose a writing of one’s choice using varied writing techniques.

The expected performance output for this lesson is YOUR original composition
using varied techniques in writing.

What is It

Topic Discussion
Different types of writing require different techniques. In this lesson we are to
delve into the various techniques in writing.

Writing techniques is also referred to us the writer’s strategy on developing


one’s composition. Generally, this is dependent on the intention of the text.
In other words, to each is his/her own; everything is up to the writer. Listed
