COMPANY BACKGROUND
Taj Hotels is a chain of luxury hotels and a subsidiary of the Indian Hotels Company
Limited, headquartered at Express Towers, Nariman Point, Mumbai
As of 2020, the company operates a total of 100 plus hotels and hotel-resorts, with 84 across
India and 16 in other countries, including Bhutan, Malaysia, Maldives, Nepal, South Africa,
Sri Lanka, UAE, UK, USA and Zambia.
Taj has been rated as the Number One hospitality brand in India by Brand Finance in their
coveted ‘India 100 2021’ report. In addition, it has continued to retain its position amongst
the Top Two strongest brands in India across all sectors.
the report shows Taj securing a BSI (Brand Strength Index) score of 89.3 out of 100 and a
corresponding elite AAA brand strength rating based on factors such as marketing
investment, stakeholder equity, and business performance.

position throughout the year, and they must take care of their customers. they have to be on

journeys, pioneering spirit, and authenticity, as well as maintain hygiene and the interior of
the hotel as taj is known for its extravagant Indian interiors.
Taj is well known for organizing events, seminars and other private functions, as it has
unparalleled collection of meeting spaces, wedding venues & banquet halls across city hotels,
beaches, hill resorts and royal palaces.

The spread of Covid-19 has boosted implementation of artificial intelligence,in the


hospitality industry as more consumers become more sensitive to risk of infectious disease
from interpersonal interactions.
