SUBJECT: - Backrest

- Supplementation of the Flight Manual
- GFRP-covering above the aileron control at the fuselage steel
frame work

URGENCY: None

REASON: - The original cloth backrest is replaced by the adjustable Discus-2c


backrest with integrated headrest.
Additional fittings for the adjustable backrest have to be glued
in the fuselage.
- The anchor points of the lap belts have to be repositioned from
the fuselage steel frame work forward on the fuselage shell.
- The procedure to adjust the backrest is described in the Flight
Manual.
- An optional GFRP-cover can installed over the aileron control rod
at the fuselage steel frame work.

ACTIONS: 1. The adjustable backrest at the fuselage wall and at the seat pan is
accomplished according the working instructions in the appendix
of this technical note.
2. The anchor positions of the lap belts on the fuselage shell are
accomplished according the working instructions in the appendix
of this technical note.

The modifications are done in accordance with the following drawing:
