 Use this outline grid to write up the preparation outline of your informative
speech for the semester.
 Whether this outline is used during delivery of the speech or not is entirely up to you.
 Regardless, BY DEFINITION, the speech must be DELIVERED BY THIS
preparation outline.

Overall, this outline grid must be completed, adjusted, and / or further developed to meet
the needs of your own informative speech/preparation outline:
 Adjust the number of points throughout the introduction as needed.
 Adjust the number of main points and main body paragraphs (2 or 3 or 4) to the
focus of your speech.
 Adjust the number of sub-points and sub-sub-points as needed throughout.
 Use transitional statements and connectives as needed throughout.

By syllabus standards, completion of Assignment 3 requires both submitting this document

on Blackboard and delivering the relevant speech in class:
 The preparation outline (as well as the necessary PowerPoint presentation) must be
submitted to the Assignment 3 dropbox & description in Course Content in the
course on Bboard by Monday, Apr. 3 (Week 9), 10:00.
