As you can see, the topics and ways of doing the projects are varied, and these are just a

and figuring out how to combat them, identifying the project's audience, promoting our
activities (many students have experienced radio broadcasts, got mentioned in
newspapers and were even on national television), raising money and, most importantly,
spreading development ideas with smiles on their faces. The projects are a way to break
up the monotonous days of study, integrate, and develop useful skills such as good
organization, communication, open-mindedness, and resourcefulness; we know from
experience that SAA is enjoyable work that brings a lot of positive energy.

What can MYP students interviews

Hey, for starters, introduce yourself. What's your
name and what grade are you in?
Hi, I am Gosia Kocińska and I am in 2nd class
IB A.
What brings you to II High School and the Middle
Years Programme?
The main reason for most people is, of course, the
great chance to study abroad, and this was also
the case for me. But when it comes to the II High
School itself, the idea came from my mom and
my grandmother. Actually, from everyone in my
family, because all generations of women in my
family since a certain time have studied here. So I
had to keep the tradition going. As for the MYP, in
addition to studying abroad in the future, it is also
an opportunity for better development than in the What are your favorite classes which

mypressib@gmail.com
What can MYP students interviews
tell us?
You said there are many projects during which you gain new knowledge in the form of
practice. Can you tell us a little about what it looks like?
As I mentioned, we have a lot of practice, especially in science subjects. These are mostly
experiments. For example in Physics we recently learned about waves, and instead of just
listening to information from a book, we conducted the experiment ourselves. We measured
these waves and created them. We've also been doing experiments in Biology lately - we have a
lot of them. We make various projects in other classes as well, for example in the form of posters
or research projects. This is a different way of teaching, which is definitely better than just pure
theory.
With all this learning, do you find some time for yourself, to relax and meet your friends?
To be honest, learning takes quite a lot of time, but this is probably the case for every high school
at this stage of learning. Nevertheless, there is a constant emphasis on keeping a balance
between private life and school. Sometimes it can be quite difficult, but I can manage it and, as I
hear from other classmates, they can do it too. It takes a while to learn to organize your time and
then everything becomes easier.
I think it’s also important to ask: what do you think
about the MYP community? Have you met any nice
people here?
Honestly, when I came to this school on my first day, I
thought: „wow, how many different people.” Literally
everyone was different and it still is like that. Some of my
classmates brought guitars and we sang together
during breaks, which was a brilliant experience. There
are no two people here who are the same or even alike.
Everyone is unique in their own way. The people are
really phenomenal, we rarely even fight.

wywiady
do powiedzenia?
to głównie eksperymenty.
etapie nauki. Mimo to cały czas jest dawany nacisk na to, żeby mieć balans pomiędzy życiem
prywatnym a szkolnym.
