Madam Geeta Rani

Madam Geeta Rani is a Tamil dub of Jyothika’s very popular

title Raatchasi, directed and written by Syed Gowthamraj. This movie is
Prabhu Bab and S.R. Dream Warrior Pictures. In this movie, Jyohtika plays
the leading role, and Hareesh Peradi, Poornima Bhagyaraj, Sathyan,
Nagineedu, and Aruldoss in other prominent roles.

The movie “Madam Geeta Rani” is the story of a public school

teacher named Geeta Rani who is implementing various plans to reform an
undisciplined state school. However, she faces many challenges along the
way, including MLA corruption. The roller coaster journey of Madam Geeta
Rani to discover herself and reforms society is inspiring. The exciting part
of the movie is that as the leading actress, Jyothika does everything a hero
does in the movie. She fights criminals alone, lectures on social messages,
she is the only deliverer person throughout the school, and she is also
changing the entire city.

This movie has some major advantages. The battle sequence

was definitely refreshing. Madam Geeta Rani looks fierce when fighting
enemies. Her personality development is beautiful, she is strong and
fearless, but sensitive and beautiful at heart. But, what is most beautiful
about her is the relationship between her and her father. The emotions
portrayed are so wonderful to watch that many from the audience were
seen shedding tears. Details such as the importance of your native
language, learning other languages, your right to education, and the
importance of extracurricular activities are beautifully depicted on the
movie. The relationship between Madam Geeta and her students is another
notable moment.

The entire film revolves around the principal and school, which
are the major drawbacks of the film. The story is very predictable, most of
the sequence and the interval scene somehow makes the audience predict
the climax too. Some scenes are also a bit unrealistic. The characters
perfectly portrays their role. Cinematography is slow-paced, but actors
make up for it in their roles. Even though, there are few glitches,
nevertheless, this movie is very refreshing and has a good story, also it is a
well-intentioned film with a good concept that’s worth to watch.

It is such a great movie, very inspiring and energetic. Completely

based upon the current education system. This movie is a must watch by
each and everyone, especially students, teachers, and parents. Madam
Geeta Rani really inspire me to be a one of a kind teacher someday. And, I
remember Nelson Mandela once said, that “Education is the most powerful
weapon which we can use to change the world”. I want to change our
world, becoming a teacher is literally a challenging journey but I want the
courage of Madam Geeta Rani. That burning desire of her really motivate
me and push me to study hard so that when the day comes, I can be a
brave teacher like her. I will recommend this movie to each and everyone
to know the power of education and how it can change our society.

-The main character impose the importance of ethics in her profession by being a
strong and inspiration not just only to her students but also to other teachers and
parents considering the conflict happen in that school.

2. How did the main character handle injustices presented in the movie?
- The main character handle injustices professionally, because she is a
professional army before entering the field of education. Madam Geeta Rani taught the
importance of discipline to the students and other teachers so that they will be able to
perform their duties.

3. What is the importance of competence to a professional?

-Being professional ones require competences. It is really important to know that
so that we are capable to use it in other relatable knowledge, skills and abilities to be
able to perform our work successfully.

4. As a future educator, how are you going to inspire your students?

-Teacher is the foundation of knowledge for students. They are entitled as a role
model. Also teachers are the one to guide, nurture and improve their students. As a
future educator, I would never stop to give access and inspire my students to reach their
goals in life and I won’t stop them on chasing their dreams. By supporting them and
motivating to study hard so that they can be successful someday.

5. If you were the main character, how are you going to be a catalyst of change considering
the conflict presented in the movie?
- I will support and motivate my students means that I am the catalyst of change.
If I were the main character, I would probably do my very best to stand and change the
environment of the school.
