The key insights I have learned throughout my educational journey at the University of South

Carolina could be applied to implementing an immersive language program in Smithtown


Elementary School.  

As our world becomes increasingly


globalized, it is important for people to have
cultural competence in order to communicate

to explore other avenues to help develop

Even if one’s family does not have the

second language in the classroom at the
elementary level can still help develop a more

incredible way to understand and learn about
other cultures, it is not feasible for everyone.
Therefore, the program I would like to
implement can help expose students to other
cultures.
