INTERNATIONAL ARRIVALS

The text is about individuals who have difficulty comprehending

each other because they have different ideas. It was effective in
representing its key message but fails to represent the entirety
of reality as people visiting other nations rarely are unprepared
to communicate in an international level. The message was
constructed using visual, gestural, spatial, and linguistic
technique

The lifestyles, values, and points of view represented in the text

were those of different people from different countries. There is
a lack of understanding in the text; a translator or someone who
has sociolinguistic competence should have been present for
the people to understand one another.

The message that I perceived from the text is that globalization

has caused some people to misunderstand each other. Some
people might think that the reader is about miscommunications.

The purpose of the text is to help everyone to become aware

and knowledgeable about other cultures. The text's target
audience is those who can read and see as it uses written words
and spatial, gestural, and visual semiotic systems, which all
appeal to the sense of sight. Those that disadvantaged in
receiving the message of this text are those who can't see or
read. This picture was probably created by someone whose goal
is to bring attention to the fact that miscommunication can
happen because people come from different backgrounds.

The techniques that were used include using body language, as

well as the use of colors and symbols. They were effective in
supporting the message because they represented the
differences that exist in each person. There are other ways of
presenting the message, like using the alphabets of different
languages to represent the ideas of these people. In this way,
they will be different from people from other countries and
ignorant of the messages sent by one another.

MULTIMODAL ADVERTISEMENT
2. Think of a cause-oriented event that will address an issue in your locality. Prepare a multimodal
advertisement for that event.

FUNDRAISING EVENT
By gathering occasion pledges, we can address a problem in our community. Fundraising events like these
can be of great value in helping our community improve and make it a better place. In addition, it can
contribute to a charitable organization that our community needs help with.

Honesty Clause
As members of the Academic Community, students are expected to be honest, responsible,
to doing their own work. Taking ideas or words from the others or in the internet is an act of
dishonesty and will result in a failing grade on the paper or assignment and possibly other
disciplinary actions.
