What were your misconceptions about the
topic prior to taking up these lessons?
Communication and globalization
I thought that globalization was disadvantageous. Tons
of social platforms and websites contain unpleasant
information that affects the audience, especially the
underage.
My thoughts that communication and globalization refer
to several different concepts, information, and practices
that some of them are advantages and disadvantages
to us. Globalization benefits the wealthy more than the
destitute. I think that people that have the power to
control, dictate, and has the power to invest, create a
business that opens opportunities.
Communication in Multicultural Contexts
I thought that intercultural communication is not that
significant when it comes to communication with other
cultures. I think intercultural has a huge relation to
languages, sign languages, social media, and other
forms of communication.

I recognize that communication is significant specifically
to students that are coping with a new way of learning.
Globalization has a relevant impact on the educational
field. Globalization has a close relation to education. As
education nowadays adjusts because of the pandemic,
we are undertaking practices to develop our way of
communicating through online platforms.
Communication with a purpose is important as we
convey the message to connect to the audience, express
feelings, influence, and meet social expectations.
Sharing feelings are intimate parts of ourselves;
relationships with other people should take slowly and
begin to develop communication and getting to know
each other well.
Intercultural communication offers the ability to deal
across cultures, which is increasingly significant, as the
world gets smaller because we are locked up because of
a pandemic. Getting smaller doesn't mean that we are
becoming identical but being able to adjust and cope up
with new ways of learning.
When we interact with other cultures, negotiate or
deliver the message we should have the skills to convey
information properly and effectively. communicating to
different cultures requires a lot of listening to raise great
relationships and opinions and
