As an objective driven, resilient, and motivated experienced finance specialist with excellent
analytical skills and results driven attitude with over 6 years’ experience, your advertisement for
the Finance Officer position intrigued me. I hope you will agree my CV warrants a closer
examination for the following reasons:
 I possess a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a concentration in Finance. I also have
supplemented it with a CPA qualification. The two programmes have grounded me in
Finance.
 For 3 years, I served as a finance and administration officer at an NGO dealing with various
projects ie USAID serving the less fortunate in society. The position helped me acquire and
perfect my skills in project budget planning and management, cash flow forecasting and
utility management. I also perfected my skills in stakeholder relationship management
specifically, preparation and submission of statutory returns and donor reports.
 Serving as a program officer in a donor funded program from 2021 to date has given me
experience in application of financial IT systems including Quick Books, in execution of my
duties. I have become very adept at report writing and record keeping.
 Being in charge of finance and operations has given me exposure to administration and
people
 I am fluent in English in both its written and spoken forms. I am well versed with the
language as it is the official language and medium of instruction in the country. As a key
resource in administration, I have employed the same as a means of communication with
stakeholders and colleagues.
 I am a natural mixer with people. I cherish working with teams. I possess excellent
communication skills and outgoing in nature. I am keen to details. I also can apply my
knowledge and skills to think through situations critically to come up with logical
conclusions.

With my expertise in working as a finance, I feel I am perfectly positioned to significantly

benefit your Organisation and contribute towards attainment of the strategic objectives as a
Finance Officer.
