Ways to address the risks

For the risk of Loss of habitat, the management should minimize buildings close to the

beach and plan some form of controlled retreat and responsive routers to beaches. They can also

expand the size of habitats by restoring wetlands, repairing systems, etc.

For sand Loss and; beach erosion, the management should first construct soft and

complex structures to safeguard the beach. Sandbag walls, for example, for a smoother surface

and sea walls, and grayness for challenging structures.

For the Destruction of reefs, the management should make an effort to reduce the harmful

emissions that destroys the reefs. If they need to throw away garbage or waste it, they should do

so in a designated place.

For Damage to assets, the management can construct vital infrastructure, such as power

plants, further away from the beach. They can also maintain the buildings' "high tide mark"

spacing from the beach, and finally, they can elevate the buildings to the minimum acceptable

height.

For Bad weather, to help visitors and sailboat operators know what to anticipate,

management should recognize baseline parameters for effectively monitoring environmental

changes.

For Water shortage (drought), the management should make the most of water-saving

equipment, such as low-flow shower heads. The administration should also train housekeeping

and visitor education employees to use water efficiently. Reducing water losses, such as pool

leakage and evaporation, will aid in water safety. Building rainwater capture and storage tanks

will assist the hotel in obtaining additional water for use. Reusing recycled water for irrigating

gardens will also help.

For Tourist comfort to decrease and heat hazards, more shade areas where visitors can

rest away from the heat can be provided by management. They can also do digital advertising on

the health hazards of exposure to heat so that people are aware of the dangers and remain in the

shade. The management should also consider scheduled seasonal changes, such as changing

away from the current high season and toward cooler months. Local governments should

collaborate with regional and national tourism organizations.

For Impact on destination image, the destination marketing company may create

emergency management and outreach plan—media training for key personnel to ensure clear

images. The company should devise a comprehensive reconstruction and recovery strategy.

Challenges that PC management would face in implementing suggestions.

For the risk of Loss of habitat, one challenge is that there is not enough land for them to

build structures to avoid structures being close to the beach.

For sand Loss and; beach erosion, the management will have to use extra money to build

the structures for beach protection.

One challenge to the Destruction of reefs is that it is hard to ensure that hotel visitors

dispose of their wastes properly.

For Damage to assets, the management will get the challenge of hiring an expert to assess

and identify the assets at risk and the high tide mark for the buildings to keep.

It is expensive to identify baseline parameters to monitor the environmental changes

effectively for bad weather, and the weather changes can sometimes not be as identified earlier,

causing inconveniences.

One challenge for water shortage (drought) is that water-efficient equipment is expensive.

Training the staffs too will need more money and also take time. Rainwater will only help when

there is rain, but it will not be effective during the dry season.

For Tourist comfort to decrease and heat hazards, it's hard to ensure that the tourists stay

in the provided shades. Some visitors may not see the marketing information on health, so they

will still have no idea of the health risks of exposure to heat.

It is time and money-consuming for destination image to develop an integrated

reconstruction and recovery plan.

Opportunities related to the risk

Opportunities related to the risk are many. There will be Job opportunities. The hotels

will hire considerable expertise to help solve the risks caused, creating jobs for those people.

Training will be done for many staffs helping them to acquire new skills and others to improve

their skills—for instance, training staff on housekeeping and guest education. The hotel will also

get many visitors, which translates to more revenue. Once the hotel solves all the risks, it will

attract many customers since their hotel will be comfortable and fun to stay there, which will, in

turn, earn a lot of money for the hotel.
