Examples.

Grammar. Using should and could.

Should
We use should and the base form of a verb to give advice or make a suggestion.
You shouldn’t take that bus. It is not very comfortable.
You should go by train, not by bus.
Should I take the train or the bus? You should take the train.
How should I go to Costa Rica? You should take a plane. Don’t go by bus.

You should buy a round-trip ticket.

Could
We use could and the base form of a verb to offer alternatives or to make weak
suggestion.
What places could I visit in Guatemala? You could go to Antigua or to Izabal.
I’m sorry, the express bus left at 2:00, but you could take the 2:25 local.
Could we go to the beach tomorrow, not today? Yes, you could. / No, you couldn’t.
You could go by train and come back by bus.

Airport Instructions

1. Arrive at the airport two hours before your departure time.

2. Take your luggage to the check-in counter.

3. Get your boarding pass at the airline check-in counter. Verify your boarding gate.

4. Go through security and put your luggage on the belt.

5. Go to the gate your flight is departing from.

6. When the agent calls passengers to board the plane, show your boarding pass and get
on the plane.

7. Follow the pre-flight instructions from the flight attendant and prepare for takeoff.
