Activity : Individual Therapy (Art Therapy) Date : April 14, 2023

Time : 9:30 AM Venue : Activity Area

General Objective:

Following an hour and a half of the individual therapy, the guests will be able

to improve its mental and emotional health. This is intended to open up a pathway

for the expression of emotions through the arts, especially drawing and painting .

Specific Objectives:

After an hour and 30 minutes of individual therapy utilizing art the guests will

be able to:

1. Express thoughts and feelings through their output


2. Maintain positive behavior throughout the therapy
3. Focus and refocus their energy on appropriately engaging in the activity and
expressing their feelings toward it.
4. Sustain student nurse-guest relationship

Materials Needed:

● Paper/Bond Paper
● Crayons
● Coloring Pens
● Water color
● Chairs
● Table
Guidelines and Precautions:

1. The facilitator will be in charge of setting up the necessary equipments


2. Gather the guest to the activity area.
3. Brief introduction is given regarding the morning’s activity which is art
therapy.
4. The facilitator will explain the objective of the activity.
5. Explain the activity to the guest and what is expected from the guest.
6. Instruct the client to make the drawing regarding their thoughts making use
of the materials given.
7. Provide the necessary coloring materials.
8. Inform the guest about the time allotted for it to finish
9. Praise the guest for its output
10. Explain to share their thoughts behind their work and encourage
verbalization of feelings
11. Further give feedback to its output
12.Thank the guest for their active cooperation
13. Safely accompany the guest to its room

Mechanics:

1. Gather the guest to the activity area.


2. The facilitator will introduce the activity and state the purpose of the activity.
3. The facilitator will state the rules to be followed during the session and will
have the participating guest restate these rules.
4. Encourage participation from the guest in a peaceful and organized manner.
5. The guests will be directed to its assigned area and sit, and the facilitator will
provide the coloring materials.
6. The facilitator will guide throughout the activity and also make her own
output to inspire the guest to participate.

Processing & Sharing:

1. Re-introduce self to the guest ( Mam Marian, Ako ito si Ashley ang inyong
student nurse from USPF, kamusta po kayo)
2. The guest will be asked to sit in the activity area. ( “Mam Marian, may
gagawin tayo sa activity area at magsisimula na po ang ating activity
Sumama po kayo sa akin at pumunta na tayo doon)
3. The facilitator will instruct the guest to sit down while waiting for the
facilitator to start.
4. The facilitator will greet the guest and orient to time and place. ( Good
Morning Mam Marian, nandito po tayo ngayon sa activity area at ang oras
ngayon ay 9:30 am )
5. The facilitator will provide a brief introduction about the activity. ( Mam
Marian, ang gagawin natin ngayong umaga ay mag drawing and painting po
tayo.Gagawin po natin ang activity na ito para mailabas po ninyo ang
saloobin ninyu at para mag relax at enjoy na din po tayo, Meron akong
mga materyales dito at ito ang ating gamitin pang sulat at pangkulay.)
6. The facilitator will explain the activity and what are to be expected from them
7. The facilitator will provide the flower sketch and ask her to paint it with her
desired color and after that, Instruct the guest to draw regarding he thoughts
about her life ( Mam Marian, meron akong drawing ng bulaklak at paki
kulayan po ito , pagkatapos mong kulayan yan mam, mag guhit po kayo
kung ano ang nasa isip niyo po).
8. Provide the necessary coloring materials.
9. Remind the guest of the time allotted for them to finish the activity.
10.The facilitator will praise the client for their output. ( Ang ganda naman niyan
Mam, ang galing niyo pala mag kulay at drawing)
11.The facilitator will ask questions regarding the chosen color of the guest and
her drawing ( Mam, bakit iyan po ang napili ninyung kulay sa bulaklak ? Ano
po ba ang ibig sabihin para sa inyo ang kulay na ito?), ( Mam, ano po ang
ibig sabihin ng iginuhit niyo po?)
12. The facilitator will give feedback based on the guest’s output. (nagustuhan
ko po ang output niyo)
13.The guest will express how they feel after their output. ( Mam, ano po ang
masasabi niyo sa output nyo ? )
14.The facilitator will acknowledge the guest’s active participation.
15. The facilitator will accompany the guest to their room.
