CAUSES OF LAND POLLUTION

Land pollution is caused because of our human activities such as:

1) RUBBISH: rubbish includes glass, metal , cloth, plastic, wood, paper, batteries,tyres and oil other
than that there is also a lot of waste products from construction sites like wood, metal, paint
and plastic. In Pakistan there are some landfill places where all the trash is dumped. Some are
used for recycling, some are burned and some are sink in the ground and contaminate the soil
and underground water
2) INDUSTRIAL AND AGRICULTURAL WASTE: Industries and mining activities also cause land
pollution by dumping chemical metals and . They use some toxic metals like copper, mercury
and lead
3) Agriculture includes like pesticides, fertilizers an insecticides. When they are used to much they
poison the soil and it is impossible for the plants to grow.
