For

NCC “B/C” Certificate holders (Male /Female-Air/Army/Naval)

who aspire to become Airline Captains
By

SPIRIT AIR LLP

AIRLINE INDUSTRY- AT A GLANCE
PROBLEMS BEFORE AIRLINES-ACROSS THE WORLD

“SHORTAGE OF CAPTAINS”

 Globally airlines are expanding networks to increase market share.

 North America, Asia Pacific, and the Middle East are likely to see the largest shortages of Captains
while Europe, Africa, and Latin America remain closer to equilibrium. In North America, with an
aging pilot population and heavy use of early retirements, the shortage re-emerges quickly and is
projected to reach 25 percent of the total demand by the year 2025.

 In a competitive market, all airlines are and will be struggling to get Captains, who are properly
trained, hold Indian/EASA ATPL, PIC Type Rating and with Airline Pilot in Command (PIC)
experience, enough to fly as a Captain on their fleet , in a short span of time and at minimum
training cost.

PROBLEMS FACED BY MERITORIOUS STUDENTS (10+2 & Graduates)

TO BECOME AN AIRLINE CAPTAINS

 High cost of commercial pilot training (CPL)

 Post commercial pilot training – additional cost of aircraft endorsement before applying for any
co-pilot job in any airline.

 Uncertainty in employment as a Co-Pilot as there is a long queue of unemployed Commercial

Pilot Licence holders.
 Slow career progression for CO-PILOTS/FIRST OFFICERS.
