In the ease of a gravity Mush tank system water closet, with the water supply pressure at 0.2 MPa (under flowing conditions), supply a specified amount of water at 20°C = 2°C from the temperature controller to the tank, Immediately after the completion of the water supply operation, give a preliminary fush. When the water supply operation is completed under similar conditions, immediately perform the first flush, and then another three flush operations at 10 min intervals. After 2h following the completion of a total of four flushes, check the floor for conden- sation water droplets that fell from the bowl surf 8.2.1.7 Flush volume measurement Place a vessel under the drain outlet of the water closet under test. and measure the volume of water discharged from the drain outlet. Other measurement method may be used provided it has an equivalent or better accuracy. Specific measurement. details for different flushing systems are provided in the following. Tn any ease, take three measurements and report the average as the flush volume. Express the results by rounding to one decimal place. a) Water closet using a gravity flush tank After adjusting to the manufacturer's specified water level at a water supply pressure of 0.2 MPa (under flowing condi- tions), perform one flush and measure the flush volume. Where adjustment of stantancous flow rate is not necessary, set the stopeock to its full-open position and adjust to the manufaeturer's nominal flush volume, b) Test operation Draw an approximately 60 mm-wide ink line around the centre of the flushing surface. ‘Then, immediately give a flush and check for any trace of ink on the flushing surface. 8.222 Media discharge tost Drop deformation-free balls with a diameter of 18 mm or more into the drainage channel to check if the they pass through the trap and are evacuated out of the urinal. If the urinal has a removable trap, remove the detachable portion during testing. 8.22.3 Water leakage resistance test With the urinal held level, fill the trap with water. After leaving to stand for 10h or longer, check for water leakage by observing the drop in the water level. Other test method may be used provided it has equivalent or better accuracy. 8.2.2.4 Air leakage resistance test With the urinal held level, fill the trap with water so that the drain outlet is closed. Apply a minimum air pressure of 246 Pa to the drainage channel, and eheck for air leak- age. Other test method may be used provided it has equivalent or better accuracy. Draw an approximately 50 mm-wide ink line around the cir- cumference of the flushing surface, approximately 30 mm helow the peripheral water ejector. Immediately give a flush and check for any trace of ink on the flushing surface. 2) Media discharge test 1 Fill with water the portion of the water closet that re- ceives waste, and place medium D at the centre of that portion. Immediately give a flush and check if the medium is completely flashed into the inlet of the drain- age channel. 3) Media discharge test 2 Drop medium A at the same time into the portion of the water closet that receives waste, immediately give a flush, and check if the medium is completely evaluated out of the bowl. ‘ q ‘com a 7, Contre of supply water inlet / ‘Centre of drain outlet Notes * Connection to the drainage line may be by flange coupling.
