currently running.
Read and study the article and answer the questions that follow.

Activity 2: Informal Assessment

Read the following statement and answer the question that follows:

Human trafficking is a human rights violation. Every citizen has a role to play and to
make a contribution to challenge this human right discrimination.

Write a paragraph on the topic. In your paragraph:


● Explain the term “human trafficking”. (2)
● Discuss TWO ways how human trafficking can impact the victim emotionally. (2x2)(4)
● Discuss ONE way how human trafficking can impact the victim physically. (1x2)(2)
● Recommend TWO practical strategies that your school could do to minimise the
oppressing and discriminating behaviour of people against individuals. In each
of the strategies, indicate how it will positively change the lives of the victims. (2x2)(4)

Write a diary entry in which you reflect on the following questions:

What is the most important thing that I learnt about human rights violations in this lesson series?

Human Rights violations may have negative consequences and emotional impact on individuals
and society. What behaviour do I need to change / what do I need to do differently to promote
human rights in my friendship groups and family circle?
