Topics Frequencies

Expected Outcomes Upon completion of this topic, students should be able to:
 Determine how often people do things through questioning.

Materials - Warm up PowerPoint.


-Frequency Presentation.
-Frequency worksheet.
-Frequency board game.

New Vocabulary “How often do you____?” Always, sometimes, usually, never. Once a day, Twice
a day, Once a week etc.
Structure (5 Minutes): Warmer on prepositions of time.
(5 Minutes): Drill the PowerPoint, getting students to repeat. Show the graph
that shows always to never, then go over the slide that talks about once a day,
twice a week, and ask them a few questions to check understanding.
(5 - 10 Minutes): Students fill out the worksheet, they have to write how
often they do something with adverbs of frequency, then again for days,
weeks, years etc.
(5 – 10 Minutes): Students will do the classroom mingle. They must ask 5
students “how often do you _____”, and write down their answers.
(10 Minutes): Finish the class by playing the frequency board game. Students
will land on a space and ask another student in the group “How often do
you____?” the student then answers using the tool box on the board game.
-If time left do 4C in the workbook.
