    Site 1
    Soil properties not known
    Therefore use default – Site Class D as required per IBC Section 1613.5.2
    (also in ASCE 7-05, Section 11.4.2).

    Therefore use default – Site Class D as required per IBC Section 1613.5.2
    (also in ASCE 7-05, Section 11.4.2).
    Site 3
    A soils report was prepared in accordance with the 1997 UBC and the soil
    profile was determined to be SD.
    Note that the 1997 UBC, the IBC and ASCE 7 all use the same soil profile
    classification system. See Section 1.3.6.5 in this Manual for more
    information regarding the potential advantages for performing a
    geotechnical investigation.
