INTRODUCTION

Fish an animal that lives in water it is covered with scales and breathes by taking water in
through its mouth, or the flesh of these animals eaten as food. In the water-breathing fishes,
rising temperatures are accompanied by progressive reduction in pH and it depends on the
cleanliness of the water it lives on. Fish play many roles in human culture, from their economic
importance in the fishing industry and fish farming, to recreational fishing, folklore, mythology,
religion, art, literature, and film. Further, societies believe that their members are responsible not
only for advancing scientific knowledge and understanding of fish and fisheries but also for
improving human appreciation for these animals and the industries that they support. All
societies actively promote research and the dissemination of information derived from that
research. They also advocate respect for life processes, respect for the forms of life within
various ecosystems, and the humane treatment of animals used in research investigations.
South Africa offers some of the most tourist-friendly fishing opportunities that many people are
accustomed to, owing to the country's fantastic location at the continent's most southern tip,
where the Atlantic and Indian Ocean currents meet. Furthermore, as the world's second-largest
continent, there is an abundance of freshwater and saltwater locations inland, with a diverse
range of lakes, rivers, and other bodies of water ideal for fishing. African sportfishing has often
been overlooked in favor of other destinations, but make no mistake: some of the best fishing
spots in the world can be found here, many of which are much quieter than traditional fishing
hotspots.
The Philippines is known for its abundance of fish and is surrounded by large bodies of water.
Despite the lack of seas in Bukidnon's surroundings, this region is abundant in freshwater fish
population. With a damp climate and rural location, fish species and vertebrates tend to linger
and sustain the Biodiversity of fish on Bukidnon.
Bagontaas, also known as a fish landing, is the main source of fish for the community and other
visitors in the area. We chose this barangay as our source of fish because it has a variety of fish
and provides good quality, fresh, and organic fish.
This study should be carried out to investigate the effects of different ph levels of water sources
on the mortality rate of Guppy fish. therefore, the researchers can broaden their knowledge of this
study and discover new things that can be applied to future research.
