SOLUTIONS
Competency: Investigate properties of unsaturated or saturated solutions (S7MT-Ic-2).
Objective: Explain saturated, unsaturated and supersaturated solutions.

Direction: Perform the activity by following the procedures stated below. Make a video presentation about
the activity.
Materials needed:
• Sugar • water
• Teaspoon • 3 transparent drinking glass (clear glass)
 Powdered juice
Procedure
1. Dissolve the powdered juice with 900mL of water
2. Prepare 3 drinking glasses and mark them Glass A, Glass B, and Glass C.
3. Pour the juice mixture into the three drinking glasses.
4. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar to glass A and stir.
Add 2 teaspoons of sugar to glass B and stir.
Add 4 teaspoons of sugar to glass C and stir.
5. After stirring the juice with sugar, taste each glass of juice drink.

Guide Questions:
1. Explain Glass A in terms of taste, does the sugar dissolve?
2. Explain Glass B in terms of taste, does the sugar dissolve?
3. Explain Glass C in terms of taste, does the sugar dissolve?
4. Which do you prefer to drink? Glass A, B or C
5. Which do you think is beneficial to your health? Why?
