A. Simple Present Tense

Simple Present Tense adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk membicarakan sesuatu
yang umum atau sering terjadi berulang kali, dan bisa juga digunakan untuk membicarakan
kejadian sehari-hari. Untuk mengenali yang mana Simple Present Tense, biasanya selalu
menggunakan Kata Kerja Pertama atau Verb 1.

Adapun rumus dalam menyusun kalimat Simple Present Tense, yaitu sebagai berikut:

(+) Subject + V1/Vs/Ves + Object

(-) Subject + Do/Does + Not + V1 + Object

(?) Do/Does + Subject + V1 + ?

(W/H) WH question + Do/Does + Subject

Dengan catatan bahwa untuk menambahkan “s” atau “es” dalam kalimat hanya boleh
digunakan ketika Subjectnya adalah He / She / It. Sedangkan untuk penggunaan “Do” hanya
untuk Subject I / You / We / They dan “Does” untuk Subject He / She / It.

B. Simple Past Tense

Simple Past Tense adalah tenses yang digunakan untuk membahas sesuatu yang sudah
berlalu dalam waktu yang spesifik.

Adapun rumus dalam menyusun kalimat Simple Present Tense, yaitu sebagai berikut:

(+) Subject + V2 + Object

(-) Subject + did + not + V1

(?) Did + Subject + V1
