Message from the Principal

It is with great satisfaction and humble pride, I pen this words for the GIT Magazine Produced
by the Holy Cross College Gampaha
Knowledge about Information and Communication Technology is a current need and a
contemporary issue that the whole Sri Lankan society is facing today due to the consequences
occurred after the Covid-19 pandemic.
There should be a new trend based on ICT knowledge implemented in practical teaching for
school students and teachers. It is an urgent need to learn and update the knowledge on ICT
literacy. Especially, when they engage in LMS and Zoom online teaching –learning process. So
it is a timely need that both the students and teachers should be equipped with ICT literacy.
I thank all the ICT teachers for their continuous efforts in enhancing our students with this need
of ICT knowledge. This booklet is a new edition done for the year 2020 with new additions. May
God bless the efforts put in by our dear teachers of ICT.
I wish all the best and a bright future for all who use this book for their further studies. As the
world moves very fast we also need to move forward while keeping up the values and traditions
of the past.
