Trying to fit a job into your schedule

A good college job will offer flexible hours (like nights and weekends when you’re not in
class) and maybe even allow for you to get some studying done when the job isn’t too busy

Dear Pamela Wilson,

I am writing on behalf of the Freshmen’ Advisory Service in response to your letter

requesting advice about a part-time job. I fully understand that how confused you feel when
finding a suitable job for a freshman. Therefore, I hope the following suggestions will be of
help to you.

As you mentioned earlier, your major is English and you also want to gain your work
experience. I strongly recommend that you should take English major jobs such as teaching
assistant, private tutors or tourguides.
