    This article is about the impostor who created


    Fellflower Albedo. For the Whopperflower mimic, see
    Fellflower.
    "Primordial" Albedo is a quest-exclusive NPC who
    appears in the event Shadows Amidst Snowstorms.
    He is distinguishable from the real Albedo by the lack
    of a golden star-shaped marking on his neck.

    He is the first iteration of Albedo created by


    Rhinedottir as a result of her Primordial Human
    Project.

    This is where the story truly begins.

    ALBEDO

    At the end of The Shadows Deepen, the real Albedo


    hints that the impostor was actually the first version
    of Albedo made by Rhinedottir as a product of the
    Primordial Human Project. The real Albedo mentioned
    that this iteration of Albedo was a failed and
    abandoned experiment, and that Rhinedottir had him
    eaten by Durin. Some time passed and the impostor
    Albedo clawed out of Durin's belly to Dragonspine and
    started to shadow the "successful" Albedo.

    The Fellflower Albedo, which attacked the Traveler's


    gang, is another impostor created by Primordial
    Albedo, which was made to divert real Albedo's
    attention.

    This mark is a sign of my artificial origins, and proof
    of my imperfection as a human.

    I presume that the impostor intentionally avoided


    replicating this mark, so as not to become less than
    perfect himself.

    The real Albedo explains that while Primordial Albedo


    (and by extension, the Fellflower) did its best to mimic
    every nuance the real Albedo has, it did not assimilate
    the star-shaped marking on the real Albedo's neck;
    which was explained to be a mark symbolizing
    imperfection from being human-made.

    The impostor is generally characterized by its envy


    towards the real Albedo, wanting to replace him in all
    aspects and feel what it would feel like if he was the
    iteration that Rhinedottir let to survive.
