Liability Waiver
- Declare that the homestay host(s) selected by the school (or residence staff, if applicable) will not be held
responsible for the student while they are away from the host´s home or school residence, or are not in the
presence of the homestay host(s) This applies to the duration of the student’s stay.
- Understand that the homestay host(s) and residence staff selected by the school will implement a curfew.
The curfew will automatically be imposed for all students. We won’t accept any exception; every student
must follow it even if accompanied by a member of their family.
- Confirm that the student is healthy and fit to participate in the program in which he/she is enrolled on.
- Confirm that all known previously existing medical conditions of a serious nature from which the student
has suffered have been declared to staff and a medical report submitted if necessary.
- Confirm that information relating to any current medications has been provided to the staff, and that the
student will be traveling with a supply of any such medications, and/or renewable prescriptions.
- Authorize the host family or school staff in the case of an emergency to authorize medical treatments and

- Accept that the student can be expelled in the case of unacceptable behavior (as described in the
Student Code of Conduct which should accompany this form).
- Understand that the student must abide by the laws and regulations of the host country and the host
EF organization.

Guidelines & information

Please indicate all necessary information concerning the health of the student (allergies, special
diets, medications, etc.). A medical report should accompany this form if a serious condition exists,
or has existed in the past.

Code of conduct –
­ Supervised Students
1. Class
– Attend all lessons and arrive on time
– Always speak the local language in class
– Participate actively in lessons and complete
all homework
– Keep mobile phones switched off
during lessons
2. During your course
– Be respectful
– If you have any questions or concerns,
please reach out to the local EF team
– Look after your own property, don’t leave your
things unattended
– Please look after the school facilities, use bins
3. Attendance
– Attendance is compulsory for classes,
activities and meals
– If you are ill you must let a member of the EF
team know
4. Homestay
– Be aware that you will travel either
independently or in groups to the destination
and live in homestay accommodation selected
and arranged by EF staff. After being shown
the route, you will travel unaccompanied
to and from the school and activities on a
daily basis.
– Make sure you have a travel card or money for
public transport. If you are unsure of how to
get anywhere, always check with an EF staff
member or your homestay.
– Give your host a copy of your timetable
– Be respectful and polite, and participate as
much as you can in family life
– Always be on time for dinner and curfew
– Don’t waste energy and water and keep your
room tidy
5. Residence
– Be aware that you will travel either
independently or in groups to the
destination and live in the student residence
accommodation selected and arranged by
EF. After being shown the route, you might
be travelling unaccompanied to and from the
school and activities on a daily basis.
– Guest are not permitted at the residence
– Bed and room changes need prior
authorization from the EF Residence Manager
– If there is a fire alarm follow emergency
procedures displayed in your room/residence
– Keep noise to a minimum between
10pm and 8am
– Respect the residence rules
6. Activities
– Be on time, participate and practice the
local language
– Listen to your leaders and follow their
instructions, be respectful and polite
with them
– Occasionally we put photographs of students
enjoying their EF activities on our social media
pages. By signing this document, you are
agreeing to allow EF staff to take and use such
photographs of your son/daughter.
7. Your safety
– EF Staff are there for your safety; follow their
instructions and advice. Be respectful & polite
with them
– Be home by curfew
– Do not give out personal information to
people you do not know
– Avoid traveling alone and always go out in
pairs or groups
– Do not carry large amounts of cash nor your
passport while in destination
– Do not accept lifts or go anywhere
with strangers
– Take care when crossing the road, and always
use designated crossings. Note that there
is left hand traffic in the UK, Australia, New
Zealand, South Africa, Japan and Malta.
– Always keep the EF emergency number with
you, and call if you need help in emergency
– Always have your leader’s number on you and
call if you need support
– Remember to be polite, ex. say “Thank you”
and “Please” in the local language
8. The law
– Follow national and local laws.Breaking of the
law will result in expulsion from the programe
– The consumption, purchase or possession
of alcohol, drugs or tobacco will result in
expulsion from the EF program
– Do not steal
– Do not threaten, commit or take part in any
act of violence
– Getting piercings or tattoos while on an EF
program is prohibited

Please note and confirm that you are enrolling in a program with zero-tolerance for alcohol and drugs. Additional rules and regulations may
be given out at each campus which should be followed accordingly. I/We the undersigned, hereby confirm that we have read and understood
the EF Liability waiver and Student Code of Conduct. I/We confirm that our son/daughter understands the need to comply with the above.
I/We understand that breaking the code will result in disciplinary procedures, and in the worst cases, may result in the student being sent
home at the parent’s/guardian’s cost with no refund of course fees.
