Our company is called AFTB (All For The Babies) and the event we created is called Baby
Party.
It consists first of all in celebrating in a traditional way the arrival of the baby as well as
revealing its sex and then to make a big party so that the family never forgets this day and
that everyone enjoys it. This event takes place in a villa in Saint-Tropez in France, more
specifically in the villa of the owners. It will feature the arrival of the baby with a speech by
the parents and the revelation of the gender 1 hour after the arrival of the guests. There will
be a large buffet with all types of alcohol and food, a pool, trampolines, and a DJ to set the
mood throughout the event. At 10pm minors will have to leave the event and the party will
start around the pool with still a big buffet, DJ and fire-eaters and the event will end at the
end of the night.
As part of our company, I chose the role of Logistics Manager because I like to do things my
way. We had some problems with coordination and presence in the group, as the Logistics
Manager and the Legislation Manager had a lot of extra tasks.
I'll tell you what I did in the event and what it brought me.
I was in charge of finding all the ways we could implement to make our event more
ecological and to list them. It was an interesting brainstorm and taught me ways to do things
in an environmentally friendly way that I didn't know.
I planned the entrances and exits of the villa on paper, it was complicated because I have a
very bad hand, but I did as I could, and it was interesting to have to think about every detail
of the villa and its big garden.
I found the name of the organization; it was quite simple because I had already in mind that I
wanted a mix of several letters to create an abbreviation in connection with what we are.

I was in charge of defining the time of the event and how it was going to take place. It was
pretty easy too because I had the event in my head, so I just had to put words to my
thoughts.
I created the logo for the event, I used a website that allows you to create your own logo. I
enjoyed doing this because I know how to do it even if I would have preferred to have better
software to make something more perfect.
I found the staff we needed by searching the internet for information about events similar
to ours. It wasn't easy because there are no events that really look like ours, so I had to look
at classic baby showers and big outdoor parties.
I created the digital advertising, for that I used Photoshop online, again like the logo I liked to
do that.
In fact, I made the event planning on Excel, for this I used the table from the course and then
I thought long and hard to add specific elements to our event.
This work taught me a lot in terms of knowledge, I learned the necessary steps to set up an
event from A to Z.
The hardest part for me was working as a group because there was no coordination during
the event, people said they were going to do this or that and it was never done. The most
complicated thing was that we created a WhatsApp group to communicate but nobody
answered the messages. Without communication it is impossible to make a group project
successful unless you do it alone. Fortunately, the last two days before the presentation, the
communication started, and the project started to take shape.
I also liked the event courses because I found that they were well constructed, the fact of
approaching a different theme in each course is a good thing I think because even if you
don't really get a hang of an aspect of event management, the next course will be
completely different.
Finally, it was a complicated project to realize since we have many problems within the
group, but it was interesting and rewarding.
I hope that the project will convince and interest you because it is very original and
surprising.
