EUMIND REFLECTIONS

Shannaaya:

As group leader, it was my task to delegate and organise the proceedings. The
plot construction to script writing as well as assigning roles to each individual
team member was my contribution. I had to sync up each person’s availability
and organise online meetings as well as a date and venue to get the group
together to film, and make a list of props we needed to see which member could
arrange for the necessary. We had to employ the use of greenscreens for a lot of
our scenes. At first, it was a struggle to try to do it with a television in the
background, but because of the small size, it was very limiting. Eventually, I
stumbled across a greenscreen filter on instagram, which saved our entire movie.
Learning how to edit videos and add voiceovers was a very new experience to
me, and I’m grateful to this program for making me more well versed in all that. I
think overall our grasp of the festivals was very strong, and hence it translated
well into the video. However, a lot of work that we did was very last minute, and it
caused a lot of stress and panic. The friends I have made through this
experience are very genuine, and I’m so thankful to have been introduced to
them through EUMIND.
Harshita:
As a contributing member of the group I was in charge of editing all the videos
which were to be uploaded . Along with all the group members even I played a
role in the filming of the short film .
Eumind made me learn about the culture of Netherlands . It unveiled me to the
different festivals they celebrate and the reason for the celebration. Being a part
of eumind enabled me to learn so many new things which I would never learn if I
were not a part of this project . It helped me develop confidence and taught me
how do we work as a group to make everything work. We had online meetings
with the Netherland people where we interacted and shared information of our
respective places . This included a lot of exchange of information . All together it
was a fantastic experience and we all enjoyed every single task which was
allotted to us .
Muskan:
As a contributing member of this group, I had the responsibility of collecting data
and the making of the short film like the rest of the team members. We learned
so much about a totally different and diverse culture. it gave me a sense of
enlightenment cause just talking to our netherlands group and learning about
them was very enriching. The whole communication process involved a lot of
sharing and taking of facts and helped me in creating a mental space to gain
information and learn new cultures. We learned about the different methods of
interaction. I had a lot of fun throughout the whole process and this experience
made the program so worth it.
Rudra:
THE TASK WAS TO CREATE A SHORT FILM ON THE FESTIVALS
CELEBRATED IN NETHERLANDS. MY WORK WAS TO ACT GOOD YET
WHEN I WENT TO ACT I THOUGHT TO MYSELF COULD I BE ANY MORE A
BAD ACTOR THAN I AM. I WAS DESIGNATED THE DUTY TO COMMUNICATE
WELL AS IT IS AN ESSENTIAL PART OF A GROUP PROJECT.
MY MOST MEMORABLE LEARNING EXPERIENCE WAS TO LEARN ABOUT
THE FESTIVALS OF NETHERLAND ON THE INTERNET AND TO DIG DEEP
INTO THEIR CULTURE AND THE WAY THEY CELEBRATE.I DEVELOPED THE
SKILL OF COMMUNICATION THROUGH THIS PROJECT.
EVERYTHING DURING THE COURSE OF THE PROJECT WENT WELL.I
WOULD LIKE TO CHANGE MY APPROACH TOWARDS COMMUNICATION
AND MY THINKING ABOUT FINDING INFORMATION. I WOULD ALSO LIKE
TO INTERACT MORE WITH THE PARTNER SCHOOL AND COLLABORATE
WITH THEM. I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT HOW TO DEAL
IN TECHNOLOGICAL ISSUES AND FAULTS.
Navya:
The task that i took upon was to select the festival we went ahead with . I
contributed to the 5 minute film by assisting with the characterisation of the roles
and also acting in it myself.
EUMIND exposed me to foreign cultures that i would have ideally not interacted
with in my youth . Therefore , educating myself about a different culture was my
most memorable learning experience. I believe this experience has polished my
inner team worker . It also gave me an opportunity to exercise and refine my
creative side .
While i believe the overall procedure went smoothly , looking back i wish i had
interacted directly more with my fellow international peers .
I’m grateful to have been introduced to so many different people through
EUMIND.
