Reflection

Atharva
I was the leader of this group and it was a wonderful experience working with everyone.
All the group members did their jobs excellently. We enjoyed doing all the tasks of this
project and everyone did their parts perfectly.We got to know a lot about the Dutch food
and cuisine from the students of Netherlands through WhatsApp and video
conferences.
After this, we decided on a topic for a TV Show, we named it “Frankie’s Travel and Food
Show” Where the host takes the guests to various places in the Netherlands and gives
them a taste about their food and culture. Everyone in our group collaborated perfectly
through short meetings for this TV Show. Because of this, we were all prepared to shoot
the show effectively. We finished this shoot in just a day. All group members enjoyed
this once-in-a-lifetime project and this was an unforgettable experience.

What could have been done better?

As we all know that no matter how perfect things are, there is always room for
improvement no matter what. So i think that i would have improved myself a bit. I could
have learnt my script and perfected my dialogues beforehand. Because of this slight
improvement our recording of the TV Show would have been faster and smoother.
Overall it was an enjoyable experience working with everyone.

“Food is strength, food is peace, food is freedom, and food is a helping hand to people
around the world whose goodwill and friendship we want.” Rightly said by John F.
Kennedy, food is our most important and basic requirement in life.

Now as our topic was already about food, it was pretty interesting from the beginning
itself. Also, our chance to interact with foreign students was itself very exciting.

We started our project by having a first look on Netherland’s cuisine. First, we didn’t
know about the foods in the Netherlands, but then the introduction session where we
met our partner school group members for the first time was very helpful. There we got
the basic introduction about the Netherlands and their culture and cuisine.

Then, we started our main project with a lot of amusement! We searched about the
different kinds of foodstuffs made in the Netherlands at different places. We made 3
different topics and started working on them in depth.
They were classified as:

➢ Most common street food

➢ Most famous dishes in herbergs
➢ Dishes made in households during festivals

It was a lot of fun researching about the cuisine and nourishment of another country.

Coming to the TV Show, we’ve made a short film in which a traveler from the
Netherlands visits various places in the city and explores the food there. Also, Sarah,
who is a vlogger from the UK accompanies him on his journey full of delicacies.

So finally, diving deep into the cuisine of the Netherlands was a lot more exciting than I
thought. I, along with my team members, enjoyed exploring the foods of the
Netherlands. It was truly a mind-blowing experience.

Pratyusha
The TV show was a lot of fun to do but there are some things which we could have
done better and some things which were simply perfect.

The methods: Our group's methods were mostly faultless, and they were apt for the task
at hand. The way we handled different situations was very ideal.

The Group Work: Our group had phenomenal group work and we were coordinated in
all our work. We discussed within ourselves how to go about every aspect, though we
could have done better on the time efficiency.

The Technical Aspects: We had people in our group who were certainly very proficient
with the technical aspects and others who were not that handy. Nonetheless we helped
each other out.

Collaboration with the partner school: We answered every question that the partner
school had about our culture and gave them all the information that we could.

This activity was truly an amazing experience for all of us. We enjoyed and learnt many
things from every part of our activity. We had a really amazing crew, everyone
participated equally in the activity and helped each other at every step. The methods
that our group used to do various tasks, I think were perfect and everything was
completed in the right way. The technical aspects were also handled quiet efficiently by
the members who were masters at it, also others were always there to help. Our
collaboration with the partner school was quite good. We exchanged questionnaires to
know more about each other's culture and food and answered them. In Spite of the
Covid-19 pandemic we all managed everything very well and tried our best to not leave
any faults from our sides.

Shrutika
Filming the TV show, writing of the script and every single bit of it was very
mesmerizing. It was a really unique and amazing experience. If the covid pandemic
wasn’t there then we would’ve had more fun and done a lot of stuff which we couldn’t do
because of the pandemic.

Method: The methods we used in this project were unique. We completed all the work
before the deadline and submitted everything on time. We all managed timings and
worked together

Group project: All the members in the group were really active and no one pressurised a
particular member for work. We all did the work together and discussed every single
aspect.

Technical aspect: Not all the people in the group were good with the technical aspects
but we still worked out together and made things happen.

Collaboration with partner school: The partner school cooperated a lot and we
exchanged a few questions. They all answered the questions briefly and it helped us a
lot.
