REFLECTION

NISHMI
For me personally, Eumind has been an indelible and spectacular experience. It
was fun to work with my peers, both from India and Netherlands. It was a fantastic
and a great opportunity to learn about other countries and developing my
communication skills. It also improved my time management skills as we had to
complete things within a certain deadline. I don’t want to do anything differently
because everything was great except the coronavirus lockdown which kept us
home from school and we had very less meets with the counterpart. We had two
video calls with our companion group in Netherlands and it was a pleasure
interacting with them. We also had a whatsapp group for inner discussions. Our
group had many meets for discussions and rehearsals. It was a marvelous
experience and we learnt a lot about their culture, their lives and different methods
of teaching. We also learnt about the development of their education system in the
past decades. I would really like to thank our school teachers Mrs.Devika Bundi
and Mrs.Ketaki Gadkari for giving me this golden opportunity.

MISHTHI
We the students of St. Gregorios high school had the pleasure of interacting with
the students of Maerlant Lyceum in Hague, Netherlands. We interacted with them
via zoom calls twice: on the 27th of November and the 4th of February. We asked
them questions based on their personal lives and the research they conducted. We
had a spectacular time making so many new friends. During our interactive zoom
sessions with the partner school, we learnt heaps about a whole new culture, new
people and a whole new way of living.

As for our Eumind group, we had a whatsapp group on which we thoroughly

discussed the preparations for the upcoming video conferences. Aside from the
discussion via whatsapp, we also had zoom meetings and google meet discussions
to ensure our executions go off without a hitch. By our research, we learnt a whole
new aspect of schooling, the diversity/variety of activities offered and most of all,
the evolution of education. On understanding and learning about certain old
teaching methods, we feel extremely grateful for our expert teachers and their
innovative and student friendly teaching methods.

The current situation of the global pandemic certainly did make our experiences a
lot more unique, interesting and memorable. Being at home and unable to meet up
with our group members, and going about ALL the EUMIND phases was
definitely challenging but ultimately gave out a very unique product. For this
wonderful experience, I (Mishthi Jain) would like to thank the Eumind body, our
teachers Ms. Devika and Ms. Ketaki as well as the coordinators of our partner
school in Netherlands.

THANK YOU.

I personally feel that everything went well. We got to learn a lot of new things
through this program. We got a chance to know about schooling during our parents
and grandparents times, we also got to know the differences in teaching methods.
By interacting with our partner school, we got to know more about their schooling
methods. We along the way build a great friendship which we are very grateful for.
The teachers were very considerate when we had our exams and helped us in every
doubt we had. We are really lucky to have gotten the opportunity to take part in
such an event where we made beautiful memories and friendships to be cherished
forever. Although what could be changed is that there could be more meets, or the
duration of the meets could be increased through which we would get to know
each other better.

The collaboration with the other school absolutely went well. I learnt a lot of new
things during this entire project. The discussions and the interactions took place
through zoom meetings. There was a lot of understanding among the group
members. We learnt a lot about our parents and grandparents, and also about their
generation. We also learnt a lot about their culture and education system. The
interactions with the partner school and group were a lot of fun. The teachers and
the students of the school we were collaborating with were very kind and
welcoming. It was a very fun and interesting project.

According to me everything went pretty well. I got to know more about my parents
and my grandparent’s school life. Through the interactions with other groups I got
to know more about their parents and grandparents school life, what they used to
do in their free time etc. These discussions which took place through zoom were
not only fun but also very informative. The teachers and students of the other
school were very friendly and welcoming. I am really lucky to have gotten this
opportunity where I made some friends and beautiful memories. This project was
really exciting and enjoyable.
