EUMIND

SAVING FOOD

REFLECTION

TRISHA:
The Eumind Save Food was a unique experience. Working with people from school, speaking to
students from Netherlands and immersing ourselves in this significant matter was a great
experience.
Throughout the project, we had ups and downs and learning experiences. We identified our
strengths and weaknesses while working as a team.
In my opinion, our skills were complementary so, there weren't any sections where we were got
stuck. We held regular sessions and everyone turned up. Our role division was clear and this
helped finish the work well before time.
Something I learnt for future group activities is that if everyone had given more inputs in others'
work the quality of work might have increased.
Despite this, we completed each level satisfactorily. The Video Call with the other school as it
was interesting to hear their opinions.
Over all, the experience was great. I enjoyed being part of Eumind and I learnt a lot from it.

NIVEDITA:
It was an amazing experience working on the project together. The cooperation and teamwork
between the members was smooth. Communicating with team members was easy and not
awkward. The work was evenly distributed between the members and all the work was done
efficiently. Though most of the work was completed on time, with better time management the
work would have been done more effectively. Since most of the team members had a past
experience working on this project, there was more clarity on how the work should be done. And
collaborating with the other school in Netherlands was both exciting and informative. We got to
learn a lot about the culture and traditions of the country and I look forward to working on more
projects such as this.
YESHIL:
It was a good experience being a part of the Saving Food group and working as a team. Being
the interviewer of this group, all the interviews went off well as the interviewees willingly
responded to all the questions which filled the interview with enthusiasm. According to me, if we
would have interviewed common people, we could have spread awareness about food wastage
among large masses. We used MS PowerPoint as a platform for the project. We all worked as a
team and I learnt a lot from my peers and our Project Manager, Shreyas Prabhu's distribution of
task to our teammates is commendable. Thus, our project went smoothly and without any
hinderance.

PEARL:
The process of carrying out the research and analyzing the given data was done systematically.
The sharing of several innovative ideas and inputs of the group members was done quite
smoothly. To reach out the opinion of larger crowds of people their opinion could be asked and
interviewed as well. The methodology used in the survey was questionnaire with large amount
of target audience. Social platforms were used for the awareness campaign where in virtually
and physically made posters where shared and youngers students were made aware about the
importance of saving food. The group work was held in cooperative and interactive manner
where in each group member apprised the group with their notions. Collaboration with the
partner school ensured that we got exposure to varying methods and interesting findings in the
process of carrying out research.

ANUSHKA:
I feel honored to be a part of EUMIND. The topic this year was Saving Food. Since I was little,
my family has been teaching me to save food. To complete this project, we had to do a lot of
research work. It was shocking to know how big of a problem food wastage is. This made the
process of doing the project even more memorable. I learnt many ways to save food and we
actively spread awareness about this issue through social media.
We also connected Saving Food with The SDG's. It was interesting to know other's opinions
through the interviews conducted.
Interacting with schools overseas was another memorable part. We had fun interactions with
our partner school related to literacy about saving food, their culture, lifestyle, etc.
Overall, It was a thoroughly enjoyable journey. I would like to express my special thanks to my
team for helping me throughout this journey. I look forward to more such opportunities.

SHREYAS:
Eumind gives an exposure to communicate with people all over the world. Being a part of
eumind, i am very grateful. Also, this year i lead the team, which was a challenge itself but was
really really fun. As the leader, i learned a lot of things from my peers, helped me develop my
leadership skills too.
Food Wastage is a big problem. Researching about the issue and coming up with solutions was
a great opportunity to solve a global issue. Collaborating with others schools made this project
even more fun and interesting. We came to know about their ideas and methods.
Conducting interviews, surveys, maintaining diaries was all a part of our project. But the best
part was me getting to lead our team throughout all the challenges and coming up with
solutions. All the group members worked really hard and completed the work assigned to them.
Everything went extremely well as planned and could not have been done differently. We
conducted our awareness campaigns too through social media and going to classes and
speaking to the children
