Scene 1
Setting: Kissi ka ghar ka dining table , We see only the protagonist sitting in a corner casually eating her
food. We can hear her parents talk in the background.
Scene 2
Rajjo: Toh kamre ki chah mai maine mere bache kuche sapne Netherlands speed post kar diye. Dekhte
hai Netherlands sai UPSC kaise crack karte hai.
Scene 3
Setting: Rajjo sitting on her bed, in front of an open laptop, with google meet/zoom, talking to her friends
Laila: Behen Tu udas kyo ho rahi hai? Haan maana zindagi mai gol gappe nahi rahenge, but soch toh,
khud kai kamre kai saath saath tujhe uniform bhi nahi pahani padegi
*Rajjo dreams of walking in very weird clothes, fashion ka jalwa plays in background*
Laila: Tere jaise logon ki wajeh sai hume uniform pehani padti hai! (Sassy)
Majnoo: Bhai yai nahi, accha healthcare, accha education system, low crime rate, yai sabh bhi toh hai na.
Integration of foreign nationals bhi relatively easy hai, kyonki bahaar sai aaye students ko dutch sikhane
kai liye special classes dee jaati hai.
Education system pai agar elaborate karoon toh, Dutch schooling system duniya mai best hone kai saath-
saath free bhi hai, yehi nahi, student-faculty ka relationship kaafi open aur healthy hai. Bas, khudka
kamra, accha school, accha teacher, accha desh mil toh raha hai, aur kya chahiye life mai.
Majnoo: Jale pai salt bae banke ho gaya ho, toh mai kaam ki baat kar loon-
Laila: Why/
Rajjo: Haan bol na
Majnoo: The Dutch education system on the primary school level is relatively easygoing, and lasts eight
years, at the end of which the students need to take an aptitude test that determines what secondary school
they can attend.
It is the higher education system that makes the secondary school divisions so complicated. The type of
secondary school a child attends determines what type of university they will be allowed to enter. The
best schools lead to the best universities that are usually focused on academia and theoretical knowledge.
Depending on which educational path a student opts for, they can attend one of three types of secondary
schools:
VMBO (four years) – provides pre-vocational education. Followed by vocational training at MBO.
Basically agar tailor, nurse ya kuch bhi aisa banana ho, toh VMBO is your way to go-
(Rajjo first sees herself as a tailor mending clothes, then as a nurse putting a bandage over a patient, then
mending clothes by putting a bandage (humor 100) )
HAVO (five years) – called senior general secondary education. It prepares students to attend an applied
sciences university (HBO).
(Rajjo imagines herself performing science experiments and drops chemicals on herself)
VWO (six years) – pre-university education that prepares children for a research university (WO).
( Rajjo imagines herself walking around with a big pile of books, falling to their weights)
*pan to Rajjo day dreaming and Laila napping cause Laila slays*
Kya dost mile hai, ek jagte jagte bollywood kai sapne dekhti hai, aur ek sotte sotte pata nahi kiske sapne
dekhti rehti hai.
Laila: (wakes up from nap) : -I'll miss you too Rajjo, I love you too majnoo… .(realising) And Rajjo.
Rajjo:( slight smile) I love you too guys, I'll miss you both so much (aww)
Rajjo (voiceover) : Yaar dar toh lag raha hai, Zindagi mai aaj tak Nepal nahi gayi, aaj Netherlands jaake
basne wali hoon. Yai traffic ka shor, Redi kai gol gappe, aur in dono ki bakwaas kai bina pehli baar rehne
wali hoon. Baaki dono toh theek hai, bas inke jaise do duffer netherland mai mil jaye.
*we see Rajjo's screen and laila and majnoo are looking at each other (as if there is no screen between
them and they are in the same room) Rajjo closes her laptop and smiles*
