Spare time - Eumind group 2

Reflection

I, Risa, was one of the 5 members in the group ‘spare time’ for Eumind. We
brainstormed ideas on a whatsapp group and also in meetings online and
offline, which i always attended and participated in. I took 2 interviews, one of a
parent and one of a grandparent so we would expand our database for fair
comparisons and conclusions.

Each small activity I did was a learning experience since it was the first time
I was participating in this programme. The Introduction video was a chance for
me to go through all my achievements and interests and share that with
confidence and poise.The interviews were enlightening, especially the one with
a grandparent because of how their stories seem so different from anything we
have ever experienced in life.

This allowed me to create connections with my interviewees and train me

to communicate clearly. The data was easy to collect because everyone
remembers and cherishes their childhood and eyes glisten when they are asked
about the good old days.I would have wanted to interview people with a control
to get more accurate comparisons for example , people who grew up in the
same city but in different economic statuses or people born in the same year
but from cities across the country from each other. I think more group work
could be created that we have to work together to produce and maybe a wider
age group for different perspectives. Overall a wonderful experience and i am
so glad i participated in this programme
