The challenge to effective inclusive leadership is a lack of commitment from senior leaders
and a failure to integrate diversity and inclusion into the organization's overall strategy. This
may lead to a lack of funding and support for efforts promoting diversity and inclusion as
well as a failure to hold managers and leaders responsible for results. Organizations have
numerous options for tackling this problem. (Patrycja Riera, 2021)

Firstly, Companies may create an inclusive culture by promoting free dialogue and criticism.
This might entail asking staff members for input on their experiences and using that feedback
to enhance policies and procedures. It may also entail giving various workers the chance to
participate in decision-making and having their perspectives heard. (Patrycja Riera, 2021)

Then, top executives should openly endorse diversity and inclusion and prioritise it in the
broader strategy of the firm. This might involve establishing objectives for inclusion and
diversity and informing all employees on a regular basis on their progress. (Patrycja Riera,
2021)
After that, from recruiting through promotion and development, businesses can make sure
that diversity and inclusion are included into every step of the employee lifecycle. This might
entail putting in place inclusive recruiting procedures, giving all staff members the chance to
grow professionally, and developing inclusive performance review and promotion
procedures. (Patrycja Riera, 2021)

In Malaysia, one example of a company that has successfully adopted inclusive leadership is
CIMB Group, one of the largest financial services companies in Southeast Asia. An
unconscious bias training programme, a diversity and inclusion council, and a women's
employee resource group are just a few of the efforts that CIMB Group has put in place to
encourage diversity and inclusion. Moreover, CIMB Group makes executives accountable for
diversity and inclusion by include diversity and inclusion measures in their performance
reviews. (Eclimo, 2019)

In conclusion, a culture of inclusion, senior leaders' commitment, and the integration of

diversity and inclusion into all facets of the employee lifecycle are necessary for effective
inclusive leadership. CIMB Group is a good example of how businesses may encourage
inclusion and diversity in the workplace since they have effectively implemented these
principles. (Project id, 2023)
