Downloading ErdasImagine Software 
Enter the following link into a Web browser. 
http://download.hexagongeospatial.com/

Search for
ERDAS Foundation 2015 (Install first) 
ERDAS IMAGINE 2015 
(64-bit or 32-bit*)

Need to download both

Must be 2015 version

Click Download Now under each product. 

Click Download 

Fill out the registration and click submit

your download will start.

*Version depends on your operating system

if you are unclear which you need ask your
instructor.

Installing ERDAS Foundation 2013 

Open Computer and browse to the location of the downloaded 
files.  

Right‐Click on each ZIP file and select Extract All.. 

Use the default extract location and click Extract.

In the foundation-v15.0-win-x86 folder, double‐click Setup.exe. 

Expand Supporting Software by clicking the + sign. Click 
ERDAS Foundation 2015 and then click Install. 

Click Next.  Read and Accept license agreement and click Next.

Click Next.  Click Install. 

Click Finish.

Install ERDAS Imagine 2015 

In the imagine-v15.0-win-x64 folder, double‐click Setup.exe. 

Expand ERDAS IMAGINE 2015 by clicking the + sign. 

Click ERDAS IMAGINE 2015 (64-Bit) and then click 
Install. 

Click Next. 
 Read and Accept license agreement and click Next.

Click Next. 
Click Install 

Click Finish. 
Select the first two Associations and click Apply
and then Close.

Licensing ERDAS Imagine 2016 
ERDAS Imagine is licensed to only one computer. The Composite ID of the computer where the software was 
installed is needed in order to get the license file. 

Get the Composite ID of the computer by going to Start > All 
Programs > Intergraph Licensing 11.13.2 and clicking 
Intergraph License Host ID 

Make note of the Composite ID or click Copy 
to save in the Windows clipboard.   

Click Close. 

Locate your License Authentication Code (LAC) which should have been provided by your instructor. 

Use your LAC to login to the license web site at  
https://sgilicense.intergraph.com/flexnet/operationsportal/ 

Enter your License Authentication Code (LAC) 
that was provided to you by your instructor and 
then click Continue.

Under operations portal, select Generate 
Licenses. 

Select the nodelock license and then click 
Generate. 

You can have the license file sent to an 
email mail address by entering an email in 
the Ship to Email: box.  

Click Next.

Click Add New Host. 

Select COMPOSITE from the drop‐down list 
and enter your Composite ID then click OK. 

Check the box next to the COMPOSITE=XXXXXXX 
and then click Generate.

Click the box next to the Nodelock license and 
click Save to File and/or click Email license. 

Click Complete. 

Installing License File 

Launch the Intergraph License Administration tool by going to 
Start / Intergrapgh Licensing 11.10.1 and click Intergraph License 
Administration 

In the Intergraph License Administrator, select File and then 
Import License File... 

Browse to the location of the LIC file that was downloaded or 
sent by Email and then click Open. 

The Imagine software should now be licensed for use.
