4.) How could we connect this activity to the elements and principles? (5 points)
You can connect this activity with the elements of art by having them tell you what color h=and
shapes are in the picture that they see. You can connect principles by having your students ask,
“is there anything that is repeating over and over” or “where do your eye go when you look at
this picture.” By doing this your students don’t realize that they are learning art concepts but it
will catch on after a while when they get older.

5.) What kinds of follow up or next step activities could we do after something like this? (5
points)
You can have students look over another picture from the fall and compare the pictures on how
the trees change with the different seasons on how the colors get brighter.

6.) Elementary Ed. how could this be used cross circularly? Art Ed. how could this transfer into a
project? (5 points)
You can have the students learn the science about the plants and use art to learn the
different colors like primary and secondary.
