Task 1:

My first school is Nam Thanh Cong primary school.

3. What do you do in your free time?

I usually listen to music and watch movies

My favorite sport is football

5. What did you do last night?

I did my assignments

Task 2: Do you like Science? Why? (Write in sentences about 20-30 words)

Yes, absolutely. I am really keen on Science because it enables me to gain a


deep insight into many phenomenon happening around my environment.
For example, learning science subject is an ideal way to raise my awareness
of the planets.

Task 3: You are in club chat room with 3 members of club. You will answer and
exchange some opinions with that 3 people. Write answer in sentences about 30
– 40 words.

Person A: Why do you decide to join in our Science Club? How often can you
go to the club?

I decided to participate in a Science club because I want to enhance my


awareness related to Science. From my perspective, it cannot be denied that

science has a key role in our lives. Therefore, I go to the club twice a week
on Monday and Wednesday.

Person B: In the past, you leant about Science in school. Do you remember
something about Science?

Actually, I have not learnt in school for over 5 years and therefore I cannot
remember what I learnt obviously. I just remembered some fundamental
knowledge associated with the Sun or the Earth.

Person C: Who is your favorite inventor or scientist? Why?

To be honest, I have been a big fan of Thomas Edison, who is the first man
inventing light bulb in the world. I actually admire him due to his efforts
and talent.

Task 4: You have received an email from the Science Club about the club
exhibition next month.

“Dear all members in our club, our club is preparing to organize the science
exhibition next month. Both young people and elderly people can take part in
our activities in the exhibition. We are planning for our exhibition. Could you
contribute some ideas for our event team? Whether our club issues the ticket for
participants? I would like to hear your contribution.”

Hi Linh,

We have not talk to each other for a long time. How are you now? I hope you
are doing well recently. I am writing this letter to ask you some advice related to
my Science club which I joined 3 weeks ago. In addition, I am required to give
several recommendations to the event team in order to organize the science
exhibition including both young and old people next month. Can you express

your opinion for me as well as my club? I am looking forward to hearing your
ideas.

2. Write an email to reply and express your feeling to Ms. Jenny –


manager of the club. (about 120-150 words)

Dear Ms. Jenny

My name is Huyen Tram. I have been a member of a science club for 3 months. I am
writing this email to express my attitudes as well as giving some recommendations.

According to the email that I received from the club about the science exhibition in the
following month, either youngsters or elderly people are able to join in our activities in
the exhibition. To be honest, I was over the moon when hearing that news. I am
actually eager to participate in that demonstration.

To have a successful event, I really want give some suggestion for this. Apparently,
our club should design posters and flyers and transmit the information to the public by
updating these to social media platforms or newspapers to appeal to the people. In
addition, we ought to illustrate the knowledge related to science with the attractive
methods such as videos or pictures which might bring the audiences sense of interest. I
think other members have the same opinion as me. I am looking forward to hearing
your reply if my ideas are acceptable.
