Infernal Contract

I. Parties

The terms of this contract signed on the ___ day of ____ ___ in the year __ _ DR, along with any
attendant revisions, addendums, alterations, or amendments (hereafter collectively referred to as the
“Pact”) shall be considered a binding agreement between parties Levistus (see addendum 1) (hereafter
referred to as “benefactor”) and _________ (hereafter referred to as “acolyte”).

II. Arbitration

The Pact is witnessed by ________________ of Sigil (hereafter, The Marut). By agreeing to this Pact,
parties agree to be bound by the terms therein. Any dispute regarding the terms shall be adjudicated by
The Marut, and parties agree to be bound by the decisions of The Marut. If a signatory holds that another
signatory is in breach of Pact, they may submit a formal Notice to Perform citing the term or terms (IV) in
dispute. If the Notice to Perform is ignored, The Marut, shall be empowered to resolve a breach of Pact
on the part of any signatory or signatories no sooner than two (2) Material Planar days after the notice is
received. The Pact may be amended only by agreement of all signed parties and only with approval of The
Marut.

III. Severability

Any part, provision, representation or warranty of this Pact which is prohibited or which is held to be void
or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without
invalidating the remaining provisions hereof. To the extent permitted by planar law, the parties hereto
waive any provision of law which prohibits or renders void or unenforceable any provision hereof. If the
invalidity of any part, provision, representation or warranty of this Pact shall deprive any party of the
benefit intended to be conferred by this Agreement, the parties shall negotiate, in good-faith, to develop
a structure the effect of which is as close as possible to the effect of this Agreement without regard to
such invalidity.
IV. Terms and Conditions
1. At time of signing, benefactor shall resolve one (1) mortal threat of acolyte’s choosing such that
acolyte is no longer imperiled by said mortal threat. Acolyte may, subject to benefactor’s
agreement, designate another mortal to receive this benefit.
2. After signing, benefactor shall be obliged to resolve one (1) additional mortal threat to the acolyte
by direct intervention in the moment of expiration. Benefactor may, at their discretion, hold
acolyte’s soul and body in escrow for a period no greater than seven (7) Material Planar days, and
may only do so if they can demonstrate a reasonable interest in the preservation of acolyte’s
mortal life in doing so. Acolyte may not designate an alternate recipient for this benefit. Acolyte
may not choose to forego this benefit for redemption at a later incident.
3. Following the successful fulfilment of Terms 1 and 2 above, acolyte agrees to vest a controlling
interest in acolyte’s mortal soul with benefactor. This agreement shall not be affected by any
appreciation or depreciation in the value of the soul following signing. Acolyte further agrees to,
where possible, avoid issuing further controlling or non-controlling interests to other planar
entities including but not limited to gods, demigods, elder evils, night hags, or baatezu. Any
unavoidable agreement that does arise shall be superseded by the terms of this Pact.
4. Acolyte may, within reason, seek to extend their mortal life for a period of time no greater than
4,000 years. Acolyte MAY NOT seek to prolong their mortal existence by means of undeath,
pursuit of divinity, or any other methods that might render Acolyte’s soul unusable for normal
purposes.
5. Acolyte will carry a holy symbol designated by benefactor on their person at all times (2). It is the
responsibility of benefactor to ensure replacement symbols are made available as needed.
6. Acolyte agrees to render reasonable service to benefactor, upon request, for the duration of
acolyte’s mortal lifetime(s). Acolyte further agrees to avoid, where possible, any action that might
be reasonably foreseen to run counter to benefactor’s immortal economic interests. (3)
7. If acolyte is found to be in breach of sections 4 and 6 above, benefactor may, at their own
discretion, take action to expedite the fulfillment of section 3, up to and including collections. (4)
8. Once per day, benefactor will empower acolyte with a freezing cold blast from acolyte’s fingertips
in a cone not to exceed 15 feet. This benefit does not accrue over time. (5)
9. Benefactor may, at their sole discretion, confer additional benefits for satisfactory service. These
benefits shall not be construed as entitlements on the part of acolyte and may be revoked at will
by benefactor without affecting the substantive terms of the Pact.
V. Transferability

No part of this pact shall be considered transferable except where explicitly stated. Any benefit conferred
by this Pact may only be claimed by the signatories herein, however after a benefit has been fully vested
it shall be considered a liquid asset and its ownership shall be governed by Planar Law and not by the
terms and conditions of the Pact.

VI. Liability

Benefactor shall not be held liable for complications arising from this pact or from acolyte’s association
with benefactor. Acolyte shall hold benefactor blameless for any resultant loss of relationships,
opportunities, wealth, privilege, power, respect, or divine entitlement.

I hereby agree to be cosmically bound by the Terms, I hereby agree to be cosmically bound by the Terms,
