ACTIVITY: Linao Basketball Tournament

THE ORGANIZER OF THE GAME:

The SK officials and the barangay Captain

RATIONALE:
The Sangguniang Kabataan Linao is the primary institution of the youth that goals to hasten their physical,
educational, mental, moral, social and spiritual aspects in life. It is by the form of initiating specific programs
and activities intended for the youth.

OBJECTIVE OF THE GAME :

The Sangguniang Kabataan Linao, whose primary objective is to enhance the social, intellectual, moral,
spiritual, and physical development of the youth, will be superintending an Inter-Barangay Basketball
Tournament this coming Jan 13-April 15 2023, at 4 p.m. Onwards in connection of the up coming annual fiesta.

VENUE : Proper Linao, Tayasan gym

GUIDELINES AND MECHANICS :

 Inter- Barangay basketball league
 A team must be composed of at least 12-15 Bonafide Tayasanons
 Players must be 15-30 years Old.

BUDGET: 62 000

RULES AND REGULATION

I. ELIGIBILITY
1. All player age is based on the category 15-30 year's old
2. To be eligible to participate in this tournament, a player must be a residence of TAYASAN
3. Joining few of 300 pesos per team to be paid before the game

II. TEAM COMPOSITION

1. Participating team's may have maximum of five (5) players every teams with the approval of purok
president.
2. Players who wants to play in other purok it needs the approval of the purok.

III. UNIFORMS
1. All team player shall be allowed to play without proper uniform, but only team's with uniform will received
a best uniform award.
2. The uniform is only upper (shirt). The criteria of choosing the best uniform is based on the upper shirt.
Shorts if by choice (OPTIONAL).

IV. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Coaches, playing coach and team captain of the playing team should know the rules and regulations of the
game and must see to it that they are total control of their players and their benches.
2. Only the coaches and playing coaches of the playing team are allowed to stand and make necessary
verification/complains during the progress of the game.

V. TEAM DISCIPLINE AND CONDUCT OF PLAYERS

1. A team must be present of the playing court ten (10) before the scheduled match. In case the team will not
show up after the grace period of ten (10) minutes. The team will be lose the game by forfeiture.
2. Any team who commits two (2) consecutive game defaults will be automatically eliminated without prior
notice.
3. Any player, coaches and team manager who commits any of the enumerated acts of violence or
unsportsmanlike conduct shall be penalized with a technical foul and suspension in the game depending upon
the gravity of the violation/situation.
4. Players who are under the influenced of liquor or any prohibited substance are not allowed to play.
5. Only playing coach and team captain in the floor can communicate with the game officials including table
officials regarding technicalities but not judgement call. However, it should be in a courteous and calm
manner.
6. A player shall be disqualified/ send out of the game if:
A. He commits two (2) technical fouls in the game.
B. He commits two (2) unsportsmanlike fouls in the game.
C. He commits both or combination of the two types of fouls mentioned
D. The technical committee has the power to disqualify any player that may cause detrimental values of the
league.

WHAT ARE SOME VALUE OF THE GAME

According to Ms. Juna Mae Dela Liña the SK chairman, The value of teamwork, the socialization with the other
team of other barangay and the most important is the leadership between the committee and the players and
discover the potentials of the community youth.
