SOP FOR HPTU (HIGH PRESSURE TEST UNIT)

Preliminary Checks:

Before starting the operations ensure all the internals of the test rig is intact.

 Ensure that drive air source and outlet connection have been made.
 Ensure that all the valves are in fully closed position and the regulator in
unloaded condition.
 Ensure sufficient level of test medium (Water / SS68) in Hydraulic tank
provided.

Operating Instructions

1. Turn on the switch and Set the Chart Recorder for holding as required
(ex: 1hr, 24hrs and 1 month...etc.).
2. Attach the Chart and lock it with the pin.
3. Ensure Drawing tip is set on 0 pressure
4. Open outlet valve, open chart Recorder Isolation valve and Drive Air
ON/OFF Valve
5. Slowly regulate Drive Air pressure Regulator till pump gets started and
observe pressure at Outlet pressure Gauge.
6. Check if there is any leakage and if found should be arrested.
7. Regulate Pressure up to required pressure (maximum 6000 psi).
8. After reaching the required pressure, close Drive Air ON/OFF valve.
 Low-Pressure SRV Set at 4.2 psi ± 0.5 psi.
 High-Pressure SRV Set at 6300 psi ± 100 psi.
 Rupture Disc set at 6525 - 7975 psi.

9. After holding time open the Outlet Vent Valve till the Outlet pressure
Gauge and Chart Recorder get zero. (Never Open outlet line without
releasing the pressure)
