FORMS AND CONVENTIONS OF FILM AND MOVING PICTURES

Acting is an activity in which a story is told by means of its enactment by an actor

or actress who adopts a character—in theatre, television, film, radio, or any other
medium that makes use of the mimetic mode.
Being an actor requires several acting skills, including the following:
 Creativity
 The ability to memorize lines
 The capacity to engage with the audience
 The experience to understand a character
 Good understanding of emotions, scenes, and acting techniques
Dialog is another element of film or movie. Dialog is a written or spoken
conversational exchange between two or more people, and a literary and theatrical
form that depicts such an exchange. It refers to the exact words of a speaker. It
gives more effective and not pure narration in a film or movie.
Another definitions of dialog are:
 A conversation between characters in drama or literature.
 In fictional medium, dialog isn’t really conversation – it is the illusion of
conversation.
 Real conversation is random, repetitive, and often pointless, while dramatic
dialog is ordered and purposeful.
