Demonstration flow

1. Introduce the demonstration.

2. Read the mechanics.
3. Proceed to trial 1.
4. After trial 1, the demonstrator will explain briefly about the result.
5. Same method will be applied to the rest of the trials.
6. After all the trials, the demonstrator will summarize the result of all trials.
7. Lastly, the demonstrator will briefly explain the conclusion of the demonstration which explains
the demonstration's main idea.
Remembering Visual Patterns Mechanics

1. This demonstration is composed of 2 members, one is the demonstrator and one is the
participant.
2. This demonstration is composed of 5 trials in total.
3. The demonstrator will show different patterns in every trial.
4. The participant will be given 5 seconds per trial to remember the pattern that was showed on
the screen.
5. After 5 seconds, the participant will put a check mark to the tiles that she remembered from the
pattern that the demonstrator showed a while ago.

Word Length Effect Mechanics

1. This demonstration is composed of 5 trials, wherein every trials is consist of 2 series of words,
short and long words. Each series of words contains 8 words.
2. The participant will be given 5 seconds to memorize all 8 words that will flash on the screen.
3. After 5 seconds, the participant will write down on a piece of paper all the words that he
remembered.
4. The same method will be applied to the next series of words in every trial.
The task in the demonstration involves visual coding in STM because the patterns are difficult to
code verbally, so completing the pattern depends on visual memory.

So yung demonstration na ginawa namin is involved doon yung visual coding sa short-term
memory dahil yung mga patterns is mahirap tandaan or i-execute verbally, so para ma-recall
yung patterns kinakailangan talagang dumepende sa visual memory rather than auditory
memory. Kasi mas mahirap nga naman tandaan yung visual patterns kung ang gagamitin
nating senses is through auditory.

So kung titignan natin iba-iba yung findings nila dahil nga nag-vavary pa rin from person to
person yung magiging result ng parehong demo patterns dahil iba-iba naman tayo ng short-
term memory capacity. Merong mabilis makaalala, meron din namang mabilis makalimutan
yung nakitang patterns.
