a. What is data analysis?

Data analysis is the systematic application of techniques to fully understand and

evaluate raw data into useful and concise information.

b. Explain the concept of data mining and its importance.

From the root word mining itself, it can be derived that the concept of data mining is
extracting information from large amount of data. The importance of data mining is
ensuring that the information gathered are reliable.

c. How can we apply data analysis in real life? Explain your answer(s).

The concepts of data analysis can apply in companies especially in the field of
technology whereas patterns are found through thorough examination of the data
provided. Data analysis can also be applied in the field of medicine because it
requires delicate and precise information in determining the causes and cures of
the diseases encountered.
