AC SPD or TPU • SPD: 20 kA, 10/350 μs
(integrated)
• TPU: 6 kV 1.2/50 (8/20) μs
(1) Ranges expressed as, for example, 3W+N+PE 346/200–433/250 V indicate 346–433 V
phase-phase voltage and 200–250 V phase-neutral voltage. The naming convention used is
W, N and PE, where W stands for Wire (or Line), N for Neutral and PE for Protective Earth.
Without the main load disconnection capability, all ten DC outputs will be
defined as priority outputs. The split between main and priority loads can, if
desired, be altered in the field. For further information, refer to PDU
Description and Power Maintenance.

In addition to the above defined fuse positions, Power 6306 also features an
optional CB for bulk distribution of DC power.

The AC SPD type 1 protects Power 6306 from lightning
overcurrents (10/350 µs pulses), caused by lightning
events in the vicinity of Power 6306. Appropriate for
installations in masts or on roof tops.
AC SPD or
C2 1 The AC SPD type 3 (TPU) protects Power 6306 from
AC TPU overvoltage surges and spikes on the distribution lines
(1.2/50 µs pulses). Appropriate for installations not directly
subjected to lightning strikes.
Customer-selection of type 1 or type 3 protection level.
SPD DC 01 or The DC SPD type I (SPD DC 01/02) protects Power 6306
1–10 from lightning overcurrents (10/350 µs pulses) caused by
PCF 01 06 lightning events in the vicinity of the Power 6306.
Appropriate for installations where the Power 6306 or its
load is placed in a mast or on a roof top.
E The DC SPD type III (PCF 01 06) protects Power 6306
SPD DC 02 1 from overvoltages and surges on the distribution lines
(1.2/50 µs pulses). Appropriate for installations where the
Power 6306 and its load is placed indoor, on outdoor walls
or in other environments not directly subjected to lightning
strikes.
Terminal block for incoming AC supply.

The SCU ensures correct behavior of the entire Power
6306 system. It is the interface for customer interaction with
the system, through RS 485 communication as well as
K SCU 05 01 1 through external alarms.

4.4.3 DC Cables
The Power 6306 DC output can be 2-wire (−48 V DC, RTN and shielding), or
3-wire (−48 V DC, RTN, and Functional Earth (FE) as shielding).
Common (DC/C). Close to the loads a split box can split the branch circuit to
provide multiple outputs, one to each load, as shown in Figure 10. A diagram
of the split box is shown in Figure 11.

The split box should have an IP protection class equivalent to that of the
equipment it shall supply power to.
It is recommended to have a passive split box, that is, the split box should not
contain additional fuses or CBs, as the box might be installed in a lighting
sensitive environment.
5 Alarms
Relay Alarm Power 6306 can issue four binary relay alarms, which
can be transferred to OSS-RC.
ANA Alarm These alarms can only be viewed onsite using the PC-
based tool Access Node Application (ANA). For more
information about ANA and the alarms, refer to Access
Node Application Description and Access Node
Application User Guide.
In a Li-ion battery system the PC-based tool Lithium-ion Battery Management
Application (LBM) is used to monitor the Li-ion batteries and related alarms.
For more information, refer to Lithium-ion Battery Management Application
