Nowadays, distance-learning programs have gained popularity, but some people argue that

online courses can never be as good as those taken at a college or university in person. To
what extent do you agree or disagree?

Distance education programs have been widely used these days. However, there are some people
who believe that it is not as good as the courses that are taken in person at school. In my opinion, I
strongly agree with the statement because it is more expensive and being online is not reliable at all
times.
Firstly, the technological equipment that are needed for online classes can be out of the budget for
either students or their parents. The tuition fee of a student itself is already a high amount of money
and they will need to allot another expenses for the gadgets that are required for this kind of
education like computers and laptops, which are mostly pricey. On the other hand, traditional classes
only need the basic materials for school such as notebooks, pens, and pencils, that are cheaper
compared to those gadgets. For example, a lot of students in the Philippines seek help to their local
government for a budget assistance for their education because most school nowadays are in online
setting and they cannot afford to buy a laptop nor have an internet connection for their studies.
Moreover, internet connection is not guaranteed to be always smooth. Distance learning is dependent
on the connection of the internet provider a student has, which is prone on having errors and signal
malfunctions from time to time. It has a huge effect on the quality of education a student has, mostly
because lessons are discussed through virtual meetings, which have the possibility of having delays
and inaccuracy on the student’s end. For instance, many students on social media voiced out their
concerns about experiencing connection errors that resulted in activities that were not submitted on
time and online meetings that they have missed due to the issues they had with their local internet
service provider. This is why online classes are inconvenient compared to those classes that have an
actual discussion of courses.
In conclusion, even though virtual education is mostly used nowadays, it is still mediocre compared
to traditional classes that are held in person because the gadgets that are used for online classes are
not affordable for many, and it also unreliable when it encounters internet connection problems.
These days, more and more people move away from the area where they were
born and brought up when they become adults.

Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?

Give reasons for your answer and include any relevant examples from your own
knowledge or experience:

Nowadays, the majority of people leave from the place they were born and grew up in when
they reach their adulthood. This essay will discuss how the advantages of moving out from their
hometown outweigh the disadvantages.

One of the major drawbacks in transferring to another place is that it takes a lot of effort to
familiarize oneself to the area they have moved in. It will be a whole new environment from the
place they used to live in, such as different lifestyle, new people, and unfamiliar places, which
they need to adjust their whole self and absorb their new surroundings in other to adapt. These
adjustments can last for a long period of time that may become difficult for others and might
regret their decisions. For example, there are students in college, who mostly move out from
their parent's houses to study at universities, return to their hometown because they got
intimidated with the sudden change of environment from the place they used to live in.

However, despite that disadvantage, there are a lot of opportunities in different places outside a
town or even in a country. There are many companies in the big cities that pay a high amount of
salary that small towns or developing countries cannot offer. Most people who want to pursue a
degree or a profession have a potential to get offers from different schools outside their area,
and those universities provide a lot of advantages for their career advancements. For instance,
business owners, who went from being poor to being successful, have shared their stories
online on how they need to leave their small town by accepting offers of scholarship from
prestigious universities that are far from where they live.

In conclusion, the reason on why young adults often leave their childhood town is to have
opportunities for their career growth, in disregard of the fact that it needs a large amount of
effort they will need to accomplish.
Many working people get little to no exercise either during the working day or
in their free time, and have health problems as a result. Why do many working
people not get enough exercise? What can be done about this problem?

There are a lot of employed people that do not get enough exercise either on their work-day or
in their leisure time, which led to having health complications. In my opinion, this is because
they lack of time, and having an organized time table can solve this problem.

The hectic schedule that an employee has causes them to not have much time for a workout.
Usually, workers go to their job from 8:00 in the morning to 7:00 in the evening with only a
minimal time for a lunch break. The free time they get after work or in their day off is usually
spent on relaxing their selves because of exhaustion from working, and sometimes they also
have other responsibilities outside their job they need to attend, which leaves them to least
prioritize their physical health. For example, people who works in a mall have atleast I0 hours a
day in their job and normally have one day-off a week, leaving them with little time to exercises
to none at all.

Setting up a schedule for a day can help employees to arrange their time to work out along
their working days.

Many people go through life doing work that they hate or have no talent for.

Why does this happen? What are the consequences of this situation?

A lot of working adults work in a field that they neither like nor have the talent for. In my opinion,
it happens because they need a high paying salary and they do not have the opportunity to
pursue the job they want. This affects performance at work and sometimes leads to
unemployment.

One of the reasons why this occurs is that employees prefer jobs that pay large amounts of
money. The basic needs and the monthly bills that an employee has every month are usually
above average and a minimum wage would not suffice those expenses. They need practical
work that can help them to financially support themselves and their family. For example, a lot of
students in college pursue programs with professions that will be beneficial for their financial
needs instead of what they really aspire to be after they graduate. However, it is not only due to
financial problems, but also, they did not have the chance to pursue the profession they wanted
back when they were studying. There are programs in college that are rarely offered in most
universities, which lead students to get forced to choose other courses that are only available at
the moment.

Learning English at school is often seen as more important than learning local
languages. If these are not taught, many are at risk of dying out.

In your opinion, is it important for everyone to learn English? Should we try to

ensure the survival of local languages and, if so, how?

At school, learning the English language is more valued to learn instead of other local
languages. Most of these languages are at the sake of being forgotten if they are not taught.
This is because English is set to be the universal language across the globe but other
languages should not be abandoned. Nurturing diversity in different countries can be a way to
save native languages.

Majority of published educational books are in the English language. Teachers immediately
introduce the language to children using those books to teach them to understand, write and
speak in English.

The graph below shows the population of India and China from the year 2000 to
the present day with projections for growth to the year 2050.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and
make comparisons where relevant.

Write at least 150 words.

The line graph illustrates the amount of people that live in India and China starting from
the year 2000 until the present day with predictions for growth in 2050.

Overall, it can clearly be seen that the population in India continues to soar through-out
the years. China only shows a slight increase by the end of the period, even though it
started much higher and overlapped with India in the year 2030.

In 2000, the number of people in India initially began at 1 billion and it steadily rose to
around 1.33 billion this current year. It will continue to surge and will dominate China
starting from the year 2030, where they will reach the same amount of people of 1.45
billion. In the consecutive years, the numbers will increase, reaching a peak of 1.60
billion Indians by the year 2050.

Meanwhile, China started high by having approximately 1.25 billion people in 2000, and
it continued to grow to about 1.43 billion today. In the next following years, there will
only be a slight movement in population growth and will remain between 1.41 and 1.45
billion in 2030. After it reaches its peak, the population will start to drop, and is
estimated to be lower than 1.4 billion Chinese at the end of the period.
The bar chart illustrates the level of male and female students in further education, in which they
either have full-time or part-time education between the year1970 and 1991 in the country of Britain.
Overall, it can clearly be seen that the amount of students who enrolled in full-time education
steadily increased throughout the whole period while part-time education had two contrasting trends
in each gender, one which gradually declined and the other which noticably increased. Despite that,
the number of students enrolled in part-time education was much higher than full-time education.
In the first place, full-time education had around 100 thousand male students from 1970 to 1981, and
it gradually climb up in the next two decades, with 20 thousand enrollies in the year 1990 and 1991.
The female students had lesser amount with only 50 thousand in the first period, and dramatically
rose in the following year, ending up with somewhere around 200 thousand students in the last
period.
Moreover, the number of men who were studying part-time education initially started at a high level
with exactly 1 million in 1970 and 1971 but dropped at around 820 thousand in the following years,
it only increased slightly by 30 thousand in the year 1990 to 1991. Additionally, women under this
education begins below 800 thousand in the first two years, and dramatically rose by more than 200
thousand in the consecutive years, much higher than the beginning level of male students. Generally,
students under full-time education only falls under 200 thousand, lower than the lowest amount in
part-time education with 710 thousand students, respectfully
