    “1984” by George Orwell - TEAM WORK PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

    Power Point Presentation of 2 slides per team member (text, diagrams, pics,
    drawings, quotes, movies excerpts, songs, etc )
    Follow Up activity: Design an activity for the class to check comprehension. The
    activity must be presented to the teacher 5 days before the presentation date.
    Duration: each team member must speak around 3-4 minutes.
    Marking: there shall be an individual and a team mark.

    Themes:
    ➢ The Dangers Of Totalitarianism.
    ➢ Psychological Manipulation.
    ➢ Physical Control.
    ➢ Control Of Information And History
    ➢ Language As Mind Control.

    Content.
    1. Provide a general definition about the topic assigned.
    2. How is the theme portrayed in 1984? Give as many examples as you can.
    3. How is the theme used to control people in today´s world?
    4. What would Argentina be like if a totalitarian government took over?
    5. Can you find similarities between your topic and events along history? Which
    ones? Explain.
