The story of the moth as delivered by his mother talks about  How was Rizal affected by the Cavite Mutiny?
how the moth died because of its illusion. It left a lesson that if
one doesn’t adhere to the advice of elders, one’s life might be
put in danger just like what the moth experienced. Even though
Rizal wasn’t paying attention at first, I believe that it stirred up
his curious mind, making him observe and learn more from it.
The way I see it, another deeper message of the parable was
that, no matter how harmful it would be, as long as you’re
really into it, you would risk it. It’s the same as what Rizal
have done to our country. Despite knowing the danger of
fighting for the motherland and its people’s freedom, he risked
and pushed it thinking that it will be worthwhile. Well, it was
worthwhile and Rizal, together with other heroes, died
honorable.

 Based on the poem, Sa Aking Mga Kababata,

give your insights on how the youth today profess
their confidence and interest in their mother tongue.
Does the youth today still value their native tongue?
Explain your answer.
o It’s undeniable that language evolve over
time. As noticed, due to the occurrence
of trends, new terminologies and
international involvements, I must say
that a large portion of youths today are
not that confident in speaking the mother
tongue language and less likely to value
it anymore. However, we can never
disregard the fact that are some who still
value the mother language among other
languages because of their love to our
origin and because they are comfortable
and prefer to easily express themselves.
As Filipinos, it’s our responsibility to
learn and value our first language for us
to showcase how beautiful it is and not
to put it to waste. Rizal’s poem imparts
insights on his love for the country thus
demonstrating the importance of
valuing the language we grew up in, our
very own language, to boost appreciation
and love for it for the good and honor of
the country as a whole.

 Why did Rizal’s parents send him to Binan?

What happened to him when he studied in Binan?
o Rizal was sent to Biñan for him to start
his formal schooling in a private school.
As usual, he excelled in all his studies
and became the best student in school,
surpassing other students. Aside from
that, he also became one of the school's
best painter upon availing the service of
local painters. However, he wasn't happy
during his stay in Biñan as he was
always homesick for his family and
town.

 Why was the detention of Teodora M. Alonso

considered cruel and humiliating?
o The detention of Teodora M. Alfonso
was considered cruel and humiliating
because accusing her of something she
was incapable of doing stained her
reputation as an intelligent person and as
a teacher of good character and
discipline to her children. Upon that
accusation, she was forced to walk a 30-
kilometer distance and was imprisoned
for two and a half years wherein she
suffered the consequences of something
that she didn't even do.

The Cavity mutiny involves the execution of Gomburza who aims to get rid
of the unjust Spanish government in the Philippines. Rizal was emotionally
traumatized making him skeptic because it happened when he was still very
young. With his experience, I must say that Rizal became more patriot and
was able to write the novel El filibusterismo in the latter period which
exposes the unjust practices of Spanish in dedication to the three executed
priests
